What would you need to happen to be successful in your life, business, family, and marriage?

Many women spend their lives settling for success in only one or two areas instead of striving for what they would ideally like to see in their lives overall.

As mothers, this often stems from overwhelm, as we strive to achieve balance between all our responsibilities while also trying to pursue the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Many of us also have past issues that we haven’t healed that are having a lasting effect on our health.

So often there are difficulties and struggles in our life that we ignore. At the core of it, healing is needed.

I believe health is the missing piece for mothers and entrepreneurs looking for success in their lives.

Your health is a spring board and a pillar for everything you’ll be able to accomplish.

Giving back to yourself in the form of nutrition, rejuvenation, energy, time, happiness and joy can help you to heal, rebuild, and thrive.

Working on our health means committing to systematically addressing neglected problems, traumas, diagnoses and negative emotions that we haven’t taken the time to resolve.

How do we then heal, and set the process in motion? In my experience it was when I started to rebuild my physical health that I was able to start putting the pieces back together in my life.

Creating a healthy body and developing a healthy mindset allows for further growth, openings, upleveling, and achievement. It gives us space to let go and release what’s not serving us. It creates the opportunity to finally give yourself permission to glow, and be truly seen.

What is your definition of success?

For years I neglected myself and my health, thinking that this was how to be a devoted wife and mother. The neglect happened on all levels - physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional - and it was deep. This all culminated with me losing my fifth child during birth and having a fourth stage hemorrhage and nearly dying in labor, followed by depression and a near nervous breakdown.

I hit rock bottom and had no choice but to start rebuilding my life. This process started with me rebuilding my health, remineralising my body, and nurturing myself. To this date, alhamdulilah, everything I have achieved has been built on this foundation.

My story didn’t finish there. Despite my best efforts, after my seventh child, I had a second health crash that involved major hair loss, gut issues, fatigue, and joint pain. I clearly needed a

deeper level of healing. This is when I began to understand that healing my gut and improving my digestion were essential for not only my health but my overall happiness. I finally started to connect the dots, realizing that other areas of my life were dysfunctional and preventing me from clearing out what needed to be resolved. This created a continuous stress in direct opposition to my healing process.

Your body is the tool and vehicle for every action you will complete in this life, and for every success you will experience. By investing the time, resources, and care to heal it - while also healing other areas of your life impacting your health - you will give yourself the greatest gift of true freedom.

Below I lay out for you a 7-part system for healing your body and mind, and getting on track towards the life you were truly meant for.

You need to have a clear direction in order to know where you are going.

Creating success takes both a desire to achieve and a commitment to transform. If you haven’t been able to achieve what you want to see in your life currently, that means that you need to be prepared to do something differently. By focusing on what is most important and how to accomplish it, you will, insha Allah, begin building a muscle around being true to yourself, values, and passion.

We are often so used to chasing and being enamoured with other people’s dreams that can

can forget what is relevant and personal to us. Take time to determine what’s important to you. Where do you need the most growth, and what would it take for you to get it?

Part of being successful is developing the understanding that healing is key to creating success.

The human body is amazing, and Allah has designed it to heal itself with the right input and stimulus. Despite toxins, poor quality food, stress and lack of sleep, the body is always trying to find a way to heal and reach balance. Disease can be reversed, but you must believe and have the mindset that your body can heal.

Similarly, the problems we have in our lives have solutions, and past events which have troubled us can become sources of opportunity instead of trauma. So in taking the step to heal your body and create a successful life, you train your mind to weed out worry, fear and doubt, and to program

success, health and abundance. Negative thoughts and emotions not only create negativity in your life, but also greatly impact your immune system and function.

What is your current mindset around health, healing and wellness? What shift do you need before beginning this powerful work of healing your body and life?

With Allah’s help, your dreams can be realised. Put your faith and trust in Allah and rely on Him for your results. Create a mindset around being solutions-focused and creating vibrant health.

Before starting on a journey of healing and acquiring abundance it is important to clear out the unneeded elements that are toxic and holding you back. Examine each aspect of your life: relationships, home environment, work environment, diet, emotions, thoughts and habits. What is currently happening that you are unhappy with and what is not serving you? You can’t plant a garden on a rubbish heap and expect it to thrive.

This emotional detox can help to create the clarity and focus that is needed to heal. If you are always looking at what’s going wrong, and don’t have the determination to commit to the vision you outlined in step 1, you can block yourself from moving forward. By simultaneously focusing on brain health, both by continuing to build a healing and success mindset and by eating nutrient-dense foods that feed the brain, you can accelerate your progress in this area.

It takes energy to run your home, business, raise children, have a harmonious marriage, and accomplish what you want. How many days are overtaken by tiredness, crankiness and the resulting lack of patience?

As stated above, thoughts create an energy or frequency and influence your present reality, which can be a big energy drain. So by working on steps 3 and 4, you can create and redirect energy into building and healing. Negativity and continuously reliving traumatic events in our head drain us physically, mentally, and spiritually. Contentment and gratitude are noble and prophetic traits that can help us rise above even the most trying tests in life, and become a source of healing for our body and soul.

In addition, digestive health is essential for assimilating vitamins and nutrients, and feeding

our body, even on a cellular level. These days digestive issues have become all too common, and gut issues are pretty much the norm. It is possible for someone to have a problem with their gut and digestion without experiencing common digestive complaints like heartburn, constipation, and ulcers.

You energy can be maximised by improving digestive and gut health. This is something everyone can benefit from. As the saying goes, you aren’t what you eat, but what you digest.

Simple things like chewing your food, having more home cooked meals and sitting down to eat can help improve our digestion. We know these from the prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him. But do we really practice them with consciousness on a daily basis?

Healing takes a transformation of habits. One of the biggest reasons we are not able to transform habits and achieve our goals is because our goals and values are not in alignment. For true healing to take place, health and healing must be something you truly value and are committed to work on. It can’t just be a matter of “it would be nice if…”, it has to be a must. If you truly value something, you’ll see the proof of that by its traces in your life.

Success flows to where you concentrate and what you put energy in; you will be successful with the things you value the most. Think about it. Where have you previously had success in your life? It most likely was with what you focused on – where you put your attention and what you

were determined to achieve. Naturally, we achieve more with the things we value because they are important to us.

Take a moment to evaluate your life and reflect on how much of your time, concern, resources and actions are devoted to or concerned with transforming your health and healing. If you see there isn’t much in your present life focused on your health, then notice what you are focused on and determined to do. You then must insist that health become one of your top values and priorities. Without this process of evaluation, people’s goals often stay in the “wishing and hoping” category instead of the “must” category that allows transformation to occur.

Now that you’ve gotten this far it’s time to get clear on the habits needed to establish and prioritising healing in your life.

When establishing any habit or trying to include something new in your life, it’s best to think about what you have control over. You can’t always change the external circumstances, but you can always change yourself.

Sleep, movement, diet, good relationships, positive mindset, and gratitude are all fundamental habits that encourage healing to take place in your body and life. Movement should be varied, throughout the day. Low impact exercise and sleep gives the body the means to repair.

When it comes to diet, I believe that every person has foods that make them thrive and that they

do not do so well on. This is affected by several factors including genetic predisposition and your current state of health. For example, it may be that if someone has severe damage to their gut and digestive system they should cut out grains in order to heal faster, but in the future once they have healed significantly they could bring them back.

Although people may need to exclude certain foods depending on personal circumstance, generally speaking we should eat a variety of fresh foods (frozen if needed): a rainbow, organic and wildcrafted diet, with raw/lightly cooked and fermented produce, and pasture raised and fed meats. We should avoid processed, packaged, chemical-laden, GMO and conventionally raised meat, poultry and dairy.

I want you to build your health as a foundation for the success you dream of. Many of us have experienced embarking on a new habit or goal only to find ourselves in the same patterns we have been in for years. My prayer and desire for you is for this to be the beginning of a journey that ends in results. To make this happen, the last step in this process is a summary of a routine you can establish to create continued success.

1. Commit to making your health and healing one of your top values and understand that success

happens from continued, gradual effort.

2. Develop and set aside time for a consistent mindset practice. Create affirmations around well-being, abundance, success, and freeing yourself from limiting beliefs.

3. Implement gradual dietary and lifestyle changes that support healing. Be determined to heal.

4. Evaluate the relationships in your life and uproot toxic behaviour patterns rooted in stress.
