MAKE A PUMPKIN HAT

MATERIALS

• 1 x 50g ball Harmony in each of Tangerine and Fern Green• Set of four 3.75mm double-pointed needles• Pair of 3.5mm knitting needles• 3.5mm crochet hook• Ring marker• Yarn needle

SIZETo fi t 50cm head circumference.

TENSION1 patt rep (10 sts) = 5.5cm.30 rows = 10cm.

TO MAKEHAT: Using 3.75mm double-pointed needles and Tangerine, cast on 90 sts. Divide sts evenly between 3 needles (30 sts on each needle). TENDRIL: Using 3.5mm crochet hook and Fern Green, make 21 ch.Row 1: 2 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 2 dc in each ch to end.Fasten o� .

FINISHINGWeave in the yarn ends. Block hat and leaves using steam method. Sew tendril to top of hat at base of ‘stalk’. Sew leaves around top of hat, close to the ‘stalk’ and making sure tendril emerges from between two leaves.
