Photography / Video We work with two companies Tropical Studio for Photography and Cores Films for Video. We have enclosed a selection of their packages for your planning purposes. You will also see as part of the information provided our Policy regarding outside service providers including Photographer / Video companies which includes a fee of US$300.00 (each) to access our Properties.

Facebook Bridal Pages There are 2 Facebook bridal pages, one for each resort, these are pages where brides can talk to brides that are going or have already had their wedding. Cocktail Hour/Reception PartyDepending on the time of your ceremony adding a Cocktail Hour to your wedding eventcould be a nice touch for your guests. You may have a non private Cocktail Hour ineither our Piano Bar (upper lobby), or on the Terrace of our Beach Restaurant(both options available at each hotel). Drink service will be provided by theregularly scheduled staff within the regular bar service hours, a selection ofHors d’oeuvres is available for purchase. Wedding Dinner Options

Non Private Reception Dinner is available in a section in one of our restaurants, with a set menu for your group at no ad-ditional cost for up to 60 guests. Restaurant availability is subject to the discretion of the resort and group size.* To ensure the comfort of all guests we must maintain consistent programming of musical entertainment in our restaurants. As a result our restaurant/wedding staff are unable to accommodate requests to change/delete or lower the volume of our regularly scheduled music programs during wedding events or dinner receptions. Thank you for your understanding. A supplement of US$10.00 will be charged for groups of more than 60 guests. (From guests 61 and up).

Private Reception Dinner is also available in any of the following locations (Parrots Bar which is a pool bar that can accommodate up to 50 guests, Wet Bar which is a pool bar that can accommodate up to 100 guests, Beach (on the sand) and Ballroom.The four locations mentioned are available at both the Majestic Colonial and Majestic Elegance. Private Reception Party Options

The following options maybe added to your private reception dinner or for those groups having their non pri-vate dinner in one of our restaurants but wanting to have a private party afterwards to add the perfect touch! A great way to thank your guests for joining you on this special occasion!

We offer the following locations: Parrots Bar, Wet Bar, Beach or Ballroom. These locations are available to be booked between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Please note all events must finish by 11:00 p.m. in all open air loca-tions. Our Disco opens at 11:00 p.m. everyday to continue your celebration.

*Please note all private reception dinner/ party require a minimum of 20 guests and minimum 2 hours event.

Casino Decorations

As part of your wedding package we will provide basic set up for the ceremony including chairs with white covers for all your guests, white tulle for Beach or Gazebo locations and a signing table with white linen. We also provide our basic set up for private receptions. If your dinner is non private, the decor provided will be that which is included in the regular dinner service of the restaurant; We have a list of available décor packages to customize your ceremony or event. Each location / event will require the purchase of its own décor package. Décor Packages and / or all of the items provided are for use during the specified times and are rented items, if items are removed, guests will be charged a purchase fee (including all centerpieces). In the event you plan to bring your own decorations, a set up fee will apply. Please indicate to our decorators who do the set up if you want those items to be packed and returned to you, we will do so. Otherwise if you decide to do the set up yourselves and you are interested in bring-ing those items back home with you, please make sure you assign someone in your group to pack up everything as soon your event is finished. What every bride should know when planning her wedding at Majestic Resorts

What do we do next after the wedding date and time is confirmed by our wedding coordinator?Once you receive the confirmation you will have a lot of questions. This is the moment for you to start working on all the wedding details. With this assistance of the Wedding Department and this document you will be planning your special day and event. You will be sent a Wedding Guide to help you make your plans. We ask that you complete this Wedding Guide and return it, to your wedding coordinator at least 30 days prior your arrival; this will allow us adequate time to finalize everything for your special day!

Who will we work with to coordinate our wedding plans? You will be working with one of our Wedding Coordinators on-site in Punta Cana, by email / phone who will assist you throughout the planning process.(primarily via email) Your wedding coordinator will help you make your plans and they will look after special requests and any specific details that you have in mind for your special day! Upon arrival you will be assigned a wedding coordi-nator to work with you on your wedding day who will contact you with a letter to arrange a meeting.

Is there a time that I must be on the island before the wedding?No there is no time restriction but we always recommend couples arrive 2-3 days before the wedding to have enough time to meet with the wedding coordinator and reconfirm all the information. Would we be able to receive some kind of a discount on the wedding package price? We cannot remove items or offer discounts on the wedding package, however if you book 15 rooms or more for 7 nights each you will get the wedding package for free. Whenever possible we suggest you request a group booking at the on-set of your booking process via your travel agency, so that you can secure the rooms that you will require for your friends and family. A group reserva-tion will also help you secure the best possible rates.

How long typically is the ceremony? Around 15 minutes. If you are having a catholic ceremony it will be between 30 – 60 minutes.

What does the basic ceremony set-up include? The basic ceremony set-up includes the gazebo or beach gazebo with white tulle, chairs with white covers and a table with white linens with the tropical centerpiece part of the wedding package.

Is there a wedding ceremony rehearsal? No, complete details will be explained during our meeting, and of course the wedding coordinator will be with you during the ceremony. We recommend you meet with your wedding party to give them an update following our meeting.

Why do I have to pay extra for my private reception when the hotel is all inclusive?If you choose to hold a private reception this will be customized and decorated as you desire. The area/venue will be private for you and your guests. Staff will be provided and bar and/or personalized menu will be offered. This comes at an extra charge, as these programs are not part of our regularly scheduled events or prepared food and drink service.

Are we allowed to bring our own champagne for the toast / drinks for the reception? Yes, but you have to pay a corkage fee of US$10 per bottle.

How many people do you seat at each table? For private receptions we use round tables that can accommodate 8-10 guests each. ($) For dinner in one of our restaurants the set up will usually be one or two long tables for the group; however this will be confirmed upon arrival.

What happens if it rains?We always have a PLAN B this will depend on your group size and available options. We will review our final plans for your event and required time-lines. Once finalized, we will present you with a document for final sign-off.

How do we pay for the wedding package or any supplemental fees?No deposit is required. Payment will be done upon arrival after we meet, and prior to the ceremony. Payments may be made by cash or credit card.

Can I ship items to the resort?Yes you can make shipments, however please note we cannot receive any goods more than one week in advance. Customs will most likely open all packages and along with the company you used for shipping you will need to take care of cus-toms bill. We are happy to receive packages but we are not responsible for them arriving safely. The customs bill is the responsibility of the bride and groom. For that reason we suggest that you bring everything with you to avoid these extra charges.

What if I have guests that would like to attend my wedding but they will not be staying at the resort. How do we deal with that? Please note this number can’t exceed 10% of the total of guests attending your wedding. They have to buy a day pass with a special rate for the wedding day in order to attend the wedding (They can access the Resort one hour before the ceremony and stay until the reception ends). Just let us know the names of those who are staying off-site and how their fee will be paid and please make sure they bring an ID since it will be required upon arrival. If they want to visit you on a different day the regular day pass rate will apply. If you have arranged private events involving fees for guest participation these fees will be in addition to the day pass. ($)

Does the resort offer a transfer service to and from the airport for their guests? Does the resort have any pre-existing relation-ships with any of the airlines?No, we don’t have transfers to the airport but if you make your travel arrangements through a travel agent or tour operator they can assist you with transfers in advance. In regards to airlines, please contact the travel agent/tour operator of your choice.

Do you have any ideas of group activities I can do with my guests during their stay at the resort? Both of our resorts offer entertainment activities throughout the day and evening. Excursions may be purchased through your travel agency or tour operator, there are many to choose from in the area.

Will I receive a response to an email on the same day I sent it? We are not office based and are in and out of the office constantly as we are on the move setting up and executing weddings on a daily basis. Much of our day is also spent meeting with brides and finalizing details or going over their event. We check emails as often as possible but due to the extremely high number of emails received it is not always possible for us to respond the same day. Emails are managed on a received and priority basis. We appreciate your patience.

NotesIn order for Majestic Resorts to host your wedding you must have room reservations confirmed at Majestic Resorts for your group. Your wedding ceremony location will be held in the resort of which you are staying. Please be advised that the Majestic Colonial and Elegance, do not have exchange privileges back and forth. The only shared facilities of our two properties are: disco, casino, sports bar, late snack bar, kids club, conference center and Catholic Chapel. Day passes must be pre-approved by wedding team prior to group arrival.
