    Ashley Reaks

Dark and sometimes violent collages make you want to look, and then, look again for there is more than first meets the eyeto these clever mixed-media artworks. Often working with uneasy subject matters and themes such as power andpowerlessness, abuse, shame, loneliness, paranoia, violence and emotional deadness, Reaks' relentless creativity is driven by

the retreat long ago into his expanding inner world and the child hiding and living there. Beautiful in composistion, theemotional connection with his audience is enhanced by the addition of text used like a shocking headline which allows theviewer to further understand the lost and mysterious characters he creates in each piece. Originally from the North ofEngland, Reaks is a self taught collage artist and musician living in London.

    Darren McPherson

Contemporary figurative artist living in London, UK. I work in high key colours that can be converse, almost jarring; the use of colour isintrinsic to my work, I rarely use black in my painting and use the negative space of the canvas only to enhance a finished image. MyFigurative style is free flowing inspired by works by artists such as Gernot Kissel, Basquiat, Adam Neate and others. My works are

drawn from a sense of the human condition and can take on a chaotic, erratic nature. The figures I paint are bold and provocative, arresting with sublime titles, exploring the allure of the form with vibrancy and stark lines. Each work describes varying emotions;innocence, modesty, confidence or audacity through a process of neo-expressionism. The high key colours being crucial in achievingfull expressive and communicative force. The works are often at odds with themselves, the beauty of the line juxtaposed to the chaosand decay of the background.

    Elizabeth James

I was drawn to photography as a child when I was given my first automatic camera aged 9 years The art form of photographic expression hasassisted my journey of self discovery and aspirations. My work often involves taking a closer look, viewing the world from a different perspective,up close and personal. Simplifying, highlighting, showcasing and simply conveying the atmosphere in an instant often missed by the naked eye.

The outcome is a personal exploration of my subject matter. I am always aiming for the point at which form, function and meaning intersectseamlessly. Capturing the visual rhythms in natural flow is a way of gaining a glimpse of our environment we barely notice or have words for butconnects us all. I feel my strength, as a photographer is not so much in creating something new, but in bringing to the fore how things are.

    Kate Knight

Kate Knight works with object based and abstract figurative imagery as a signifier to a human condition, aiming to conveythe aesthetics of desire, sex and death. Through her paintings, Knight urges the body to recall memories by evoking anarrative in the viewer. These highly provocative paintings are also playful and tongue in cheek works with an undertone of

something much more macabre, hinting a 'climax' or residue of an experience or act. A waiting period is declared, like aninhalation or a frozen moment forever sealed beneath the fetish finish. Embedded beneath this layer are scars and scratches, flaws from the process of making. She studied at the Chelsea College of Art and lives in Kent.

I'm a designer. My work is mainly based on the English language, multiple meanings and wordplay. It is an interest that started backwhen I was just 7 or 8. I was baffled when people tried to teach me to read phonetically! "How can you teach phonetics in a school?Maybe a sKool?". Born in the North West of England, I moved South to studied graphic design and illustration. I have set up home inHackney, the creative heart of London. Where I screen print, design & illustrate books and host exhibitions. Mission Statement. IfAnything Can Go Rong It Will.

    Paul Kindersley

Paul Kinderslery's work is situated somewhere in the cultural interface of the viewer and film itself - exploring and blurring theboundaries between fantasy and reality, the personal and the public, suggesting a fluid involvement with mythologised filmexperience. His creations reflect on the effects of television and movies and are utterly compelling. Utilising everyday cultural

encounters, he draws on camp, nostalgia and the extremities of exploitation movies of the 60s and 70s, using them asstarting references to explore the exaggerated filmic concepts and emotions of tragedy, eroticism, melodrama, violence andthe tacky. Kinderslery graduated from Chelsea College of Art in 2009 and has since both curated and shown work inexhibitions across London and Europe.

I am not an artist by choice, I am an artist because this was thrust upon me by universe on the day I was born on a studio floor. I doart not because I love it, I do it because it's the only way I can breath, it is the only bridge that connects me to the world and reality. Ina way it's my 'life support machine' and a curse at the same time.

    Zhenya Dmitriyeva

My way towards the field of digital design lay through the exploration of the physical environment during my architectural studies. Thisis when I became interested in the relationship we have with digital technology and how it is shaping our lives through us exploring thepossibilities it offers. The possibilities seem infinite, which is fascinating and scary at the same time. The glimpse of the unexplored iswhat keeps me motivated in doing my work. My current work is mainly web oriented design for which I draw on inspiration from

multiple sources, such as psychology, visual arts, architecture, sciences and everyday life as I know it.
