Company Overview
Mainz Brady Group (MBG), a privately held California Corporation, has been providing technology professionals to California, Washington and Oregon companies since 2003. In that time MBG has grown its revenues each year by no less than 40% (62% in 2012). With five offices to serve our west coast clients (Portland, OR – San Mateo, CA – Oakland - CA, Sacramento, CA – Seattle, WA) we provide our services on a contract, contract to hire and direct hire basis.
The company is led by its partners, Eric Brady and Richard Mainz, each with over 25 years of professional staffing experience in California and the Pacific Northwest. Our internal Account Managers and Recruiters at MBG have no less than 12 years of staffing experience which is one of our primary competitive advantages.

Our Recruiting Model
First, we obtain a thorough description of the technical and non-technical job requirements. Once receiving a qualified requirement, we immediately utilize a number of recruiting tools to quickly identify appropriate candidates including:
MBG’s A-List: a list of over 1000 employees who have previously worked for MBG in
the area and have done excellent work – taking the “guesswork” out of hiring.
Our internal state-of-the art candidate database, one of the largest in Northern
California and the Pacific Northwest areas
Industry technical networking/user groups – we regularly sponsor and attend them
Internet recruiting tools (LinkedIn, powerful advanced Google searches, etc.)
Pre-screening Process
All candidates go through an extensive pre-screening process at our local branches:
The technical screen includes a detailed analysis of technical skills, a review of work
history, including technical tools used on each assignment and business knowledge
In the non-technical screening process, we assess the individual’s interpersonal
communication skills, ease of communication, long-term goals with a contracting
career, work ethics, level of professionalism, and general compatibility with candidate
requirements of our client.
We further qualify the candidates by presenting the candidate with a job description
of the current position and ascertaining the interest level in a specific position and
their willingness to accept a pre-defined negotiated pay rate. We only present
candidates that have agreed to accept the position, if offered, so that we don’t waste
our client’s time with inappropriate candidates.
MBG has a business partnership with ADP Services, as a part of our service agreement
with many clients, for an extensive criminal and credit background check. MBG will
handle all the paperwork and will absorb the cost of the background checks. All
background checks results are kept offline at ADP to be access if needed but insuring
security of this confidential information.
Depending on our client’s preferences, we also have procedures in place to conduct
DMV, drug testing and educational credentials verification.
All applicants are required to provide five professional technical references. Our
recruiters conduct at least three of them before submitting the candidate to the client
and finish all five reference checks before the candidate starts the assignment with
our client.
We have an established relationship with a national technical testing firm as well. If
required by the client we can include this as a part of our screening process. We can
also administer customized tests.
