2. PREAMBLE

This booklet is intended to be read by qualified personnel in charge of the installation and use of the equipment. The installation and use should be carried out according to the current general recommendations. Errors due to incorrect use or connection may lead to irreversible damage to the different elements ot the equipment. If an element fails, the user should make sure that the installation does not pose any danger for the area. WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE UNIT WHEN IT IS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE.

3. BEFORE USE

Before using the operator should verify that all tools are included in the packaging.

4. OPENING AND CLOSING THE CAMERA TO ADJUST THE CARDS

See assembly plan HY9605403 annex 1

4.1 Opening the Camera.

• Make sure the DTR71 MPX camera lens is in the axial position.

• Hold the back cover # 17 of the camera. Unscrew the housing of the camera in a counter-clockwise direction and separate it. The camera and the electronic cards remain with the back cover.

4.2 Closing the Camera.

• Before reassembly, clean parts and gasket housings..

• Check the O-ring # 49 ref. MJOI0000122, replace if necessary and apply silicon lubricant.

• Apply anti-grip solution to threads ( RAINEX RX695 ).

• Screw the body # 10 to the back cover # 17.

Adjusting the Cards for eventual adaptation to the type of cable

• General : The Multiplexed Camera DTR71 MPX consists of a standard DTR71 and a multiplexed module for transmitting video and remote control commands. This unit functions with a VSR35 M standard control command unit.

5. STANDARD CAMERA ADJUSTMENT

No adjustment is necessary with the DTR71 as it is set at the factory. Check its printed circuit boards, power input +15VDC.

6. ADJUSTING THE MULTIPLEXED MODULE

Connect the DTR71 MPX to the VSR35 M command control unit using the umbilical cable (armoured coaxial), connect the control command unit and the camera to the power source, adjust the LIGHTING variac to 50-60% on the VSR35 M control unit.

6.1 Verification of Output Voltage : Check the output voltage in the card HY 0666.58 (module KWS 15.15 or equivalent), it should be near +15 VDC.

6.2 Verification of the Modulator Card HY0066688: Check the frequency using an oscilloscope with the plot test PT7 :

• The amplitude should be 20V peak-to-peak minimum

• The frequency should be near 8MHz • N.B : R2 regulates the frequency

R1 regulates the modulation (around 2/3 of the course of the potentiometer).

6.3 Verification the Receiving Card HY0066689 :

• Check the signals ppm on pin 13 of IC1 (amplitude 12V peak-to-peak)

• Check the signal frequency on the pin 14 of IC1 (19,2KHz)

• N.B : R2 regulates the ppm frequency.

"PPM": Pulse position modulation, these signals are used to transmit remote controls from the control command unit to the camera.

6.4 Verifying the Lighting Control Card HY066689 :

• Push the 10W lighting "-" button : verify that on pin 15 of IC2 the voltage decreases to 0 V.

• Push the 10W lighting "+" button : verify that on pin 14 of IC2 voltage decreases to 0V.

• N.B : R12 is always set at the lowest level. • On TP6 verify that the voltage varies from 1,5

to 12,5VDC ( lighting input 2X12V 5W).

NOTA : • Check the continuity of the fuse : multimeter in

buzzer position. • Check the camera input : multimeter in DC position

- 1000V calibre ( continuous ). • Verification of the exterior lighting voltage:

multimeter in AC position – 1000V calibre (continuous).
