• The MDSS is one realization of the STWDSROperational Concept Definition (OCD)
–For a set of functions and operational-scaledecisions of winter road managers
• Continues STWDSR stakeholder alliance
– National Labs will develop non-exclusivecomponents
– State DOTs will operate
– Vendors will provide and integrate into RoadWeather Information System (RWIS)
