principal’s report
Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you for your input with the School Improvement Unit Reviewers. Valuable information was gathered to assist the
school to continue down the road of progress.
We had a terrific two days of sports carnival with fantastic weather and terrific participation by our students. It is always a
pleasure to see so many parents participate on these days and I know the children certainly enjoy having family members
around if it is possible.
Our students who attended the Readers Cup in Cairns on Thursday did a good job however did not attain a place. Well done
to all!
Congratulations to Marg Kochi for the fabulous win of a prize money equalling $1000 for the Facebook entry to the Mothers/
Fathers day gift shop. Tolga State School’s name went all over Australia.
Next week will see the Report Cards for the end of semester being sent out to families. Should there be any glitch with
technology then hard copies will be made available if you are not already receiving the reports in this manner.
Over the next two weeks Mrs Linda Clarke will not be in the office due to leave being taken. Mrs Shelley Eddleston and Mrs
Lynne Barber will share the position until the holidays.
At the end of next week Mrs Juanita Fisher will be taking long service leave in term 3 and a teacher replacement will be
announced. Mrs Neeka Sullivan is also taking leave to have her baby and Mr Carl Stroud will be returning to Tolga State
School and will be teaching Year 3/4 for the rest of this year.
There is a lot of gear in Lost Property – please check for coats and lunch boxes which might be missing in action at the
moment.
P&C pie drive forms have also been sent home with your children.
I hope you have a great week!
Regards,
Kayleen Wright
