AzureProject is the integrated sail design software package that allows sail designers to move effortlessly among all the various design, optimization and fibre layout phases. One software tackles all your design challenges.
‘Azure Project has cut the design and development time by 15%, which is a huge saving in any business.’ IAN SHORT SAILS, AuSTRALIA
With AzureProject you can design:
Hull shape and coach roof
Mono/multi hull, import hull as rhino file
RIG: spars, running and standing rigging
Mainsails and Genoas, by accurately defining:
- Sail sections and foot curve - Luff, leech and maximum camber curve - Battens and roaches - Details: Cunningham, telltales, draft stripes etc
SPINNAKERS symmetric and asymmetric
Patches, Panel and uV- cover layout
Enforce girth measurements
Additional functionalities
IMPORTING/EXPORTING of sail shape, mould shape, battens, panel/patches/ uv-cover layout and manufacturing details
Developing and analysis of sail panels
SAVING Patch/Panels in *.ntv, *.psxml, *.dxf file format
Create your own measurements and check they are compliant with standard and custom rules
PRINTING/SAVING: - Any 3D view in *.pdf (with PDF995) or using any other file writer - Production sheet with panel layout, panels’ numbers and
measurements - Import vector graphics on sails

DESIGN
AzureProject is a benchmark tool, available to sail-designers, and fully compatible with all the various production systems used in the sail-making industry.
Design and type of sail, from aspins to code zeros to gaff sails. No limits in size and shape.
Complete patches and uV covers design tools.
Display sails on complete 3D hull and rig.
Precise fibre layout tools which can interface with any cutting system.
Super computational accuracy. Second-layout fairing of assembled sail edges or marking on the floor are not required.
Aerodynamic, structural and aero-elastic analysis of proposed sail designs.
Frequent updates with new features.

1 32 4You can design:
Hull and Coach roof
Complete RIG
Mainsails & Genoas
Patches/Panel layout & development
You can input:
AWS/AWA
TWS/TWA/BS
Sailing course angles
Now you can start the aerodynamic calculation of DRIVE, SIDE force, Pressure forces and WAKE shape.
You can set:
Aerodynamic forces
Sailcloth
Trimming conditions
Battens
Flying sail-shape, stresses and corner loads
Performance:
Final flying sail shape
DRIVE and SIDE force
STRESS distribution
Corner loads
Through automatic fluid structure inter-action AzureProject calculates the flying sail shape and relative sail performance
uSE FLOW AND FLEX TO OPTIMIZE mainsails and genoas
Step 1Design
Step 2Is it fast?
Step 3Flying sail shape
Step 4Performance
It is always a challenge to develop the best possible sail shape for an even set of dimensions and conditions. With comprehensive simulation and analysis features, AzureProject calculates the flying sail shape of your proposed design, resulting from your mould-shape, construction and trim.

PREMIUM FEATURES
‘It’s awesome to have the ability to run aero and structural analysis in house’ yANCy SMITH, DOyLE SAILS QuEENSLAND - AuSTRALIA
With AzureProject you can:
Layout fibre groups directly on 3D sail surfaces
Set different fibre array configurations for each single group
Shape fibre groups by using multiple segments on the edge paths and internal control paths.
Regulate the fibre density with graphical spread tools
Export / Import fibre layouts
View: - Each or many fibre paths groups - Head Path or all fibres - Panels with all the fibers - Fibre thickness / Final texture
Measure: - DPI at user set points - DISTANCE between paths and fibres - PATH curvature
Export to any lamination system.
AzureProject’s fibre tools enable you to design custom fibre laminate sails with confidence and have them manufactured on any available cutting system.
LAyOuT FIBRES
there are no limits in the number of groups, fibre paths, threads, distance between threads, source and destination points for a fibre group, number of DPI and surface measurements.
‘ The fibre layout tool allows designers to be extremely creative. It does not limit the number of fibre groups. Day after day we are developing faster, lighter and aesthetically superior string layouts’ PAOLO SEMERARO, BANKS SAILS ITALY
