Hello,I am Riley and we are going to talk about magnets!

1. Who invented magnets?

Magnets were not invented, they were discovered from a naturally occurring mineral called magnetite. The ancient Greeks were the discoverers of magnetite.

Interesting Fact!There is a story about a shepherd named Magnes whose shoe nails stuck to a rock containing magnetite.  

2. What type of magnets are there?

There are three types of magnets, electromagnets, permanent magnets and temporary magnets.

Interesting Fact!Permanent magnets can be made from iron, ferrite, colbolt or alnico.

Put a magnet under the table and paper clips on the table.Then start moving the magnet round on the bottom of the table.Then shock your audience!
