    Introduction

As our world rapidly moves into an energy crisis and the effects of globalwarming are causing more tragic yet natural weather patterns across the globe, ithas become more important to the future of our planet for efforts to be madetoward reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and non-renewable resources. There are clean energy resources available and if used in combination, enoughenergy can be produced to supplement our worlds energy consumption needs.

Clean renewable resources are those energy sources that are able to replenishthemselves naturally, instead of diminishing in supply as they are used. There areseveral well-known alternative renewable resources that are continuing to grow in

popularity. They include solar energy, hydro energy and wind energy. Each of these alternative energy sources is available for free and abundant in most areas of the world.

Solar energy is the most popular alternative energy source is the sun is trulythe planets most abundant renewable energy source. By using the power of thesun to meet our individual home energy needs, we could greatly reduce our dependency on commercial electric systems that deteriorate our environment withtheir emissions. Not to mention, that by generating our own private solar energy

for home use, you will greatly reduce your monthly spending on utilities.

Wind energy systems have been in use for centuries. They were originallyused to power water pumps and have now grown to power entire towns. As thetechnology behind wind power advances, it has become easier for individuals toconstruct their own wind power systems to supplement and even provide fully for their home energy consumption.

Water energy systems are still generally only effective on a large scale andthe effects of developing and constructing efficient systems can be costly. Thereare still several small water energy systems used by certain cultures for irrigationand powering small buildings or machines.

Although solar, wind and water energy are excellent sources of renewableenergy, there is yet another less widely used alternative energy resource that is

both clean and renewable. It is this energy source, the magnetic generator, whichwe will discuss in this manual. We are confident that this new energy will change

Get Started By Reducing Your Energy Consumption

The first step to success with any energy independence goals is to learn toreduce your overall energy consumption. If every household and business madethe effort to reduce their energy consumption, the world would already be on itsway to sustaining a healthier environment and the demands on our renewableresources would be less. Starting in your own home and at your work, you canfollow the tips below to start reducing your energy needs, energy bills and startmaking alternative energy sources a realistic option for you.

Change your bulbs. The most energy efficient light bulbs on the markettoday are LED light bulbs or light emitting diode bulbs. LED light bulbs are12 times as energy efficient as the classic incandescent bulbs and last for 100000 hours (that is over 11 years). In many areas, LED light bulbs areeither not available or they may be out of the budget for many home ownersin which case compact fluorescent bulbs or CFLs are another energyefficient choice. CFLs last around 7 years and use far less energy thanregular incandescent bulbs; however, CFLs must be disposed of properly or

they become a pollutant and toxin to the planet. Changing your light bulbsis only the first step and you should change all of your households lightingover to the more energy efficient bulbs. The next step is remembering toturn off lights that are not in use.

Most people are pretty good about turning off appliances and lights whenthey are not in use and although this does mean cutting back on your electricity, many appliances are still making the meter spin, even when notin use. A number of appliances and electronics still consume electricityeven when they appear to be off. When we hit the switch on our televisionsand DVD players, they dont actually turn off.

What actually happens is that these devices go into standby mode wherethey are still drawing electricity to be ready for the instant on effect themoment you hit the remote. In order to combat this effect of continuousdraw, you can either unplug your electronics and appliances when not in use,you can plug them into an outlet that operates on a wall switch or you can

plug all of these appliances into a power strip with an on/off switch that youcan turn off when not in use.

Although you may think that a little red light doesnt amount to muchelectricity usage, when you add all of those little lights and clocks together you easily comprise 10%-15% of your monthly electricity consumption.

If you are wondering what appliances are still drawing, even when not in usesome are easy to spot: any appliance with the little light on the power switchis still drawing energy; any appliance with a clock that remains on andworking even when an appliance is not in use is drawing electricity; mostappliances with remotes do not actually turn off, they go into standby modeand remain ready to receive a signal from the remote; and almost allcomputer and computer equipment, especially desktop computers, arecontinuously using energy, even when we think they are turned off. There isa chart at the end of this chapter that highlights various appliances and their off energy consumption.

Air drying can save big money. Not just your clothes, but your dishes too.You can drastically reduce your electric bill by drying your clothes outside

on the line and by simply opening your dishwasher door when your washcycle is complete; instead of waiting for the heated dry. Washing your laundry in cold water cycles also uses less energy to heat your water anddoes an effective job of cleaning without the shrinking and color bleeding of hot wash cycles. If you dont like the stiff feel of clothes dried on the line, then reduce your drying time by placing clothes in the dryer for 15 minutesand then moving them to the clothes line.

    (c) MagnetEnergy 2009 5

Usually this is just enough time to add a sometimes necessary fluff andsoftness, especially if you use dryer sheets for fabric softness. Of course, there is nothing simpler than using the quick or normal wash on thedishwasher with no heated dry cycle. Just open the door and let the air do itsthing. Common sense also tells us to only wash dishes and clothes when wehave a full load to save both energy and water.

Using AC is a necessity in many parts of the world, but it is also a major energy gobbler. Make every effort to use your AC, and your heat for thatmatter, as responsibly as possible. You can begin by making sure that your home is properly weather-proofed and doors and windows are shut andsealed properly. Unless you plan on storing meat in the living room, there isnever a need to crank out the cold air from your AC.

A room should be comfortable in temperature. Use fans and ceiling fans torotate the cool or heated air around to other rooms. It is also beneficial toclose off rooms that are not generally used during the day. The guest roomdoesnt need to be cooled or heated unless there are guests in staying in itand most bathrooms will stay fairly cool on their own.

Using programmable thermostats is a great way to cut energy costs. Byreducing your heat by 5 degrees at night and even setting the AC 5 degreeswarmer during evenings, and especially when no one is at home during theday, is a great way to reduce your energy consumption.

Once you start implementing the energy saving advice we suggested in thischapter, you should start to see a drop in your electric bill and your energyconsumption. You must accomplish this first step before you can really takeimplementing an alternative energy system seriously. This is especially true if youwant to actually make money through net metering with your renewable energyresource. You wont be able to get to the positive side until you eliminate your energy excessive energy consumption.

Never forget that the biggest benefit of your every effort is its positiveimpact on the environment. Depending less on fossil fuels and generating lessCO2 is offering the greatest benefit to your quality of life and the future of our

    planet.

The Mystery of the Magnetic Generator

A magnetic generator is a renewable energy system that uses magnets togenerate perpetual motion and sustainable energy. Once started, a magneticgenerator will continue to operate without the use of water, coal, heat, sunlight, wind or anything else for that matter.

The benefits of utilizing energy from a magnetic generator are many. Someof the biggest selling points in the world of alternative energy resources is that amagnetic generator does not require a lot of space, there is no risk of combustion, and it works in all types of weather. Magnetic generators are similar to other renewable energy sources in that they are eco-friendly and produce no pollutants,

are low maintenance and you dont need to be a rocket scientist to build and useyour own magnetic generator to supplement your homes energy supply.

A magnetic generator must be charged up before it is a viable source of energy. The main shaft of the generator must be turned at 2100 RPMs for 42seconds. After that the process will work on its own as magnetic energy ismanifested by the six coils of copper wire. The whole process is accomplished asthe six coil connection wires are making contact and setting up alternatingmagnetic poles and a response between the rotor magnets and the coils causing the

main shaft to be rotated by the permanent magnets as they attract and release amagnetic field. After the initial cranking, the shaft will continue to rotate fromthe loads activating force.

This process should not be confused with an electromagnetic fieldgeneration. In an electromagnetic situation, the flow of energy is caused by theopposition of forces, while magnetic energy is about a shared flow of energy. Thecircuitry of the magnetic generator allows for an interchange of energy as itrecycles the stabilized magnetic energy. What is occurring is actually a buildup of magnetic energy that causes an energy thrust to spin the main shaft of the magneticgenerator.

The motor of a magnetic generator is driven totally by permanent magnetic power. This too should not be confused with the principles of perpetual motion asthe energy created by the magnetic generator is not an unknown force. With the

magnetic generator the force is clearly an attract-attract, attract-release process thatturns the rotor of the generator thereby creating a measurable current of power.

    The Simple Explanation

The information you read above may have been a little confusing, unless youare up to date on your physics and magnetic field information. Here is a basicexplanation of the operations of the magnetic generator:

The magnetic generator produces energy through the use of magnets.Generally there are magnets placed in the machine. The opposing magnets create aforce field while the others act as balancers. The energy created from this forcefield is considered perpetual because it continues to run on this one field of energyfor over 100 years.

Magnetic generators are capable of producing 7000 watts to power an entirehousehold and are as functional as alternative energy sources as solar and wind

power systems. Due to a lack of understanding of the true nature of magneticenergy, this form of renewable energy has been kept out of the mainstream untilrecently.

    Understanding Different Grid Systems

All alternative energy systems require the same elements to tie them intoyour household electrical system and, if you should choose, into the net meteredsystem from your commercial electric company. Each diagram belowdemonstrates a different system for tying your renewable energy supply to your daily household use. The actual renewable energy source is left vague becauseeach of these grid systems can be used for solar, wind, water and magneticsystems. The individual elements used in each system will be explained later inthis section.

Understanding the Components of the Grid Systems

DC Disconnect:The DC Disconnect makes any alternative energy system safer byallowing the system to be easily shut off. Shutting down the system isgenerally done for maintenance of the renewable energy system.

    Deep Cycle Batter:

Deep cycle batteries are the safest to use with your alternativeenergy system. They can be acquired new or if you are buildingyour renewable energy system on a tight budget, you can purchase

used batteries from any golf cart distributor or golf course.

    Main DC Disconnect:

The main DC disconnect allows you to easily disconnect the inverter during routine maintenance or if there should be any problems with theunit.

    (c) MagnetEnergy 2009 16

    Inverter:

An inverter is used to change the DC current generated bymost renewable energy systems into AC or alternating currentthat is used by most typical household appliances. The inverter image featured here is for a large scale system and a smaller inverter may be more appropriate for your grid system.

    Generator :

You will only need a generator if you are running an off grid system. A gas powered generator can be used in

situations where you need to shut down your grid systemfor maintenance or if your alternate system does notmeet your homes energy needs for some reason.

    AC Breaker Panel:

Almost every home has an AC breaker panel where your commercialelectricity, renewable energy system or hybrid system connects toyour home to provide power to your appliances. The breaker panel

protects individual areas of the house from becoming overloaded.

It should be noted that every state and even local government hasregulations regarding the connection of alternative energy systems to

existing AC breaker panels. It is recommended that you contact a licensedelectrician who is familiar with the codes in your neighborhood to connect all of your systems together. It is possible to run your appliances directly from your inverter.

    Charge Controller:

The charge controller monitors battery life, in systems that utilize batteries, by making sure that the batteries are not overcharged at any point in time.

    (c) MagnetEnergy 2009 17

    System Meter:

Monitors how full your battery system is at all times. It can also beused to monitor your homes energy consumption.

    Kilowatt per Hour Meter:

If you are already connected to a commercial electric system, thenthis meter is probably on the outside of your home somewhere. Thismeter monitors the amount of energy entering and leaving your home.

Additional Tools You Will Need to Build Your Magnetic Generator System

As with any major project, there are always a few tools that you are goingto need to get the job done. Here are some additional tools that you willneed to get your project underway.

    Solder Iron:

The solder iron will be used to solder the circuit. Although the unit will stilloperate even if the connections are not soldered, it is suggested that yousolder all connections after you are sure it is wired correctly for prolongedmaintenance.

    Amp Meter and/or Multi-meter:

It is important to note that you will be measuring pulse direct currents andan amp meter like the photo on the left may be easiest to read and the

    Instructions:

First you will need an aluminum base plate that will act to balance andstabilize your magnetic generator. This aluminum plate will also serve toequalize the magnetic flow. The size of the plate will be adjusted accordingto specifications presented later, but below is a picture of the end plate.

Next you will need to get an oil impregnated brass Sleeve Bearing (1 inlength with a inside diameter).

You will need to fabricate six rotor slots in your bearing. They should be 1 long by .260 deep by 23/32 wide. Each slot should be spaced 60 degreesapart. An additional slot should be cut in the center of the Brass Rotor (perpendicular to original six slots). This should be 360 degrees around the Rotor, wide by 5/16deep. As the 360 degree cut is made, the 6 slots will become 12slots and each should be lined with .010 thick mica insulation.

The mica insulation will need to be cut to size and hit with a standard iron. The rotor should then be preheated to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and the soft mica is

placed onto the heated tool in the shape of the slot on the rotor. A bonding agent

    26/36

    (c) MagnetEnergy 2009 21

should be placed in the slot area to force the mica in place. Mica manipulated atroom temperature will crack and be ineffective in your magnetic generator.

You will next affix 19 pieces of the U-shaped 0.04 copper coated steelwires into each of the 12 slots. They should be fitted into the mica insulation, butnot touching the brass rotor. The lead edge of the wires should be flush with therotors outer surface while the trail edge should protrude 1/8 above the rotorsouter diameter.

Purple line shows 19 U-shaped copper coated steel wires

Next you will need your 0.032 thick copper coated steel wires that have

been turned 11 times to make coils. The coils should be 3/8 wide. You willsnuggly place a piece of 0.005 mylar insulation into the coil wire cores. Repeat process 12 times (one for each groove in your rotor). These wires will be used toconnect the upper 6 magnets to each other and the lower 6 magnets together, butnote that the upper and lower series are not connected.

Preparing the magnets is the next step. The 12 permanent magnets (seespecifications in product list at beginning of chapter) should be insulated in mylar and at no time should come into contact with your 11 coils. When these magnetsare inserted into the rotor, they should not be machined to meet the radius. Thecenter of each magnet will pass the center of the coils with 3/32 clearance. Theedges, where the wires are wrapped will pass 1/32 from the coils. Sharp magnetedges that are facing the coils should be sanded and smoothed to meet the radius of the rotor.

There are no connections made between the upper six slots on the radius andthe lower six slots on the radius. The 12 wire wraps should be divided into twogroups of six, one for the upper slots and one for the lower slots. The same will betrue of the magnet groups that should be divided into two groups of six as well.

The magnetic flow direction between the upper 6 wraps and the lower 6wraps is attained by the flow direction. The flow direction starts with the wireswrapped around the magnet starting at the top or north half and will then, after 11complete turns, the same wire exits at the lower south half. The wire then goesonto the next magnet and arrives at an attract wire which is its north half. Themagnets are interconnected from south to north magnet half or north to south

    (c) MagnetEnergy 2009 22

magnet half. All magnet connections should be made with the crimped copper clips so they are not accidentally soldered to the Rotor body.

Now you will need your 0.30 copper tube. Again you will need to cut sixslots at the top. These slots should be 5/8 wide by 1/32 deep and spaced 60degrees apart. The same cuts should then be made at the bottom of the tube andshould be kept in line with the slots made in the top of the tube.

Next you will need to fabricate an acrylic ring (see dimensions in parts list)to hold the copper tube you just fabricated. The acrylic ring will be bolted directlyon to the aluminum plate. Before bolting to the aluminum plate, you will need tocut a .030 wide groove cut deep to allow for six copper wire mounting points to

be inserted. When assembling, you should place the 0.002 thick plastic insulationaround the inside and outside of the copper tube.

At this time you can also fabricate six coils of insulated copper wire (0.14thick). Each coil should be turned 72 times, but specifically, each coil is woundwith two layers, the bottom layer with 45 turns should fill the 5/8 wide slot and atop layer with 27 turns that should fill the 5/16 wide slot. It is important that eachwire length be exactly the same so a sample wrap should be made, then unwoundand used as a template for the additional wires.

Coil Winding Method: fill a small spool with the pre-measured length of wire. Temporarily attach one end of the wire to your copper tube outer surface at the lower extension and then place the spool of pre-measure wireinside the tube wrapping down and around the outside advancing clockwiseuntil the 5/8 slot is filled with 45 turns. Then return this wire back acrossthe top of the coil for 15/32 and winding clockwise again, place the secondlayer for 5/16 and 27 turns. This should center the second layer perfectlyover the first.

The finish wire of coil #1 goes to the finish wire of coil #2 which is top layer to top layer. Then the start wire of coil #2 goes to the start wire of coil #3 on the

bottom layer (wire diagram in illustration section).

When the copper tube with the coils is placed around the rotor, the distancefrom any magnet to any coil must be identical. If it should measure differently, acrylic holding shapes can be bolted to the aluminum base to push the copper tubein the appropriate direction.

An acrylic dome should be added for protection against the elements. Whencomplete you should add a coating of clear acrylic to solidify the rotor. Do not usemotor varnish, it is best to preheat the rotor and dip it into the heated liquid acrylic. Then hand rotate until the acrylic dries and proceed with balancing the rotor.

To balance the rotor, either add brass weights or remove brass as needed bydrilling small holes in the rotor on the heavy side.

When the unit is driven at start-up with the hand crank (42 seconds at 2100RPMs) all six jumper wires must be together. The plus wire goes to the minuswire connected by the start switch. After the 42 seconds of hand cranking, the loadis added to the circuit and the start switch is opened.

Answer: Unfortunately, it must be Mica. Its function is not only oneof insulation, but it serves a magnetic function as well.

    Question #6:

    Can the generator run horizontally?

    Answer: No.

    Question #7:

Will the generator run by itself if the starter is not opened?

    Answer: No.

    Question #8:

The coils that are wound with the stated turns do not add up to the specifiedsizes, why not?

Answer: Our coil sizes were reached by measuring the coil after winding. Everything we did was hand wound and the human elementcan cause fluctuations in size. Final rule: If it fits, its the right size.

    Question #9:

Does the acrylic dome serve a greater purpose than protection?

    Large Scale Magnetic Generators

Making energy changes on the home front is going to make the way for change and have a great impact on our world as a whole, but without the samechanges in government and especially in large scale corporations our planet willcontinue to decline and our resources continue to deplete.

Utilizing magnetic generators and other free energy sources could be thesolution to an international crisis. How do we get the ball rolling?

Every household should reduce their energy consumption. We have beenwasteful for too long. Many conveniences are sucking up your dollars and our

fossil fuels. Start by reducing your energy needs and by introducing alternativeenergy systems into your home where ever and whenever possible.

The next step will be for major energy companies to start replacing their non-renewable energy supplies with cleaner, renewable energy options.Implementing large scale free energy generators, like magnetic generators, wouldreduce the production of CO2 and significantly reduce the cost of providingelectricity.

The problem is that government and big businesses are not showing aninterest in alternative energy options and often shy away from the financialinvestments such a change would take. The consequences of a free internationalenergy supply would affect our two biggest corporate giants, Oil and Energyindustry.

Spread the word and push for your community to break free from biggovernment and the financial stronghold of the oil giants. You just learned how to

build a small scale free energy source, think bigger and get local governmentinvolved to build a free energy supply for your community.

It can work; it does work and it is the only hope for the future of our planet.

    Beating Our Oil Dependency

The biggest issue in the world today is a dependency on oil. Thisdependency has caused wars, killed thousands and driven millions into debt. Oneof the greatest steps we can take as a people is to lessen our dependency on oileven though it is used in our vehicles, to heat our homes and in the production of our electricity.

The automotive industry and our government have taken excellent steps inthe last year to tackle a portion of our oil dependency problems. There are severalgreat cars on the market today that have superior gas mileage and the governmenthas done their part to set new regulations regarding the production and sale of the

traditional gas guzzlers of the world.

Even diesel cars are able to run on re-used vegetable oils and fryer fats fromthe local restaurants. Even more are running on biodiesel, a refined version of vegetable oils. Biodiesel can also be produced from the fat of pork, poultry, beef or vegetables.

The introduction of the hybrid electric cars has had a significant impact onthe oil industry and has received the full support of most federal, state and localgovernments. Hybrid vehicles combine battery power with the traditional car engine. By capturing kinetic energy during braking, they are able to recharge thecars battery supply as well.

The next step in breaking free from oil dependency in the automotiveindustry may well be with fully electric cars that do not depend on internalcombustion engines at all. Todays fully electric vehicles are still limited in their range and duration for driving.

The next step is to move these same concepts into our homes to eliminate

our dependency on oil for heat. Alternative heating systems already exist, but their costs are still greater than that of oil.

Take you stand. Ride the bus, ride your bike or carpool with a coworker andreduce your dependency on oil today!
