Magento Accumulative Discounts Installation/Configuration Guide

Installation

1. First of all, back up your store database and web directory. It is wise to perform this procedure before any installation.

2. On your back end, go to System → Magento Connect → Magento Connect Manager and log in to Magento Connect Manager with administrator credentials.

3. Under “Direct package file upload” section, browse for package file and hit “Upload”.

4. Return to website back end, log out and then log in again. 5. Flush Magento Cache under System → Cache Management.

6. Congratulations! You are now ready to use Accumulative Discounts extension.

Configuration/Usage

Adding Accumulative Rule to your site

● Go to Promotions → Shopping Cart Price Rules and click Add New Rule button.

● You can input any additional options, restrictions in the Rule Information and

Conditions tab like you normally do it in Magento.






● In the Actions tab select Accumulative Discounts. Enter percent number for the

discount in the Discount Amount field. You will also see additional fields: ○ Accumulation Period (in months) field to enter period for calculation user

orders total. ○ Total Purchases more than (including), $ field to specify the sum in base

currency of all customer orders for period specified in the Accumulation Period (in months) to start accumulative discount triggering.

○ Total Purchases less than (including), $ field to specify the sum in base currency of all customer orders for period specified in the Accumulation Period (in months) to end accumulative discount triggering.

○ You are still able to specify which items in the cart will be under accumulative discounts if customer will get one. Just use section Apply the rule only to cart items matching the following conditions (leave blank for all items) in the Actions Tab like you normally do it for other shopping cart promotions in Magento.






● If you will need stairs accumulative discount system you will need to add separate

accumulative rule for each stair. For example:

● If you have CMS page that describes all features of your discounts system. Go to System → Configuration → Orange35 → Accumulative Discounts and enter its URL key in the URL Key field. User will see the link to this page when he will be reviewing his Accumulative Discounts in his Account profile.

● You can also use checkbox Show Rule Description. If checked and customer will have Accumulative discounts he will see the description of the discount in his profile.
