In order to get feedback on my magazine

pages I produced a questionnaire. I asked

20 people within my target audience and

these are the results:

17 people within my target audience said that the colours, fonts

and size of the text would attract them to buy the magazine

whereas 3 people said they wouldn‟t

+Look at the front cover I have produced. What

attracts you to the magazine?

For this question I gathered a lot of detailed answers. The

majority of the people who answered this question said that the

images used on the front cover were very attractive and

appealing. Also I found that some people said the inclusion of a

small „Free Posters‟ section would “entice me to buy the

magazine”.

A lot of people who I asked commented on the colours used on

the front cover. They said that they liked the font colours and

the colour of the cover background. One person said “I like the

bright pink bubble around the title”

Another thing that my target audience commented on was the

layout of the front cover. They said that it was very clear and

organised making the cover easy to read. Some people also

said that the layout would stand out on a newsstand.

What attracts you to the page?

For this question the main feedback I received was about the font. Many people said that the font fit in very well with the pop genre. They also said that it was very attractive and enticed them to read the content of the magazine. One person stated “The fonts used are really good!”.

Some people also commented on the colours used on the page. They said that they liked the colour scheme and that it linked well with the front cover. A couple of people also said that the colours used on the contents page worked well with the colours used on the image backgrounds.

A few people also remarked on the positioning of the content. They wrote that it made the contents page look organised and that it is easy to find the information that you want. Also they way in which the images are placed on the page adds to the organised feel of the page.

The responses to this question were very varied.

A lot of people again commented on the images I had chosen to use on my DPS. They said that the artist fit in well with the pop genre and that the positioning of the images on the page made them want to read the article.

Many people commented on the article I have written for the DPS. One person said “The article is very interesting!”. Along with this a lot of people in my target audience said that the quote line included on the second page of my DPS was very interested and made them read the article in full to find out what the artist was talking about. One person also said that they enjoyed the question and answer layout of the article

Some people also talked about the fact file on my DPS. They said that the positioning of it was very good and that it fit in with many pop magazines they had read in the past. A few people also commented on the content of the fact file and said that it was funny and made them want to read the full article.
