Short Term Goals (week 1)The students will be able to, Interpret reasons for implementation of

Rowlett Act and its consequences. Explain the causes and effects of Amritsar

massacre in 1919. Presentation on Mohandas Gandhi,

discovering his life style and role in politics of India.

Week 2&3

The students will be able to, Explain the reasons for launching the Khilafat

movement. Describe the problems for Khilafat movement. Analyze the reasons for the decline of Khilafat

movement. Explain the efforts of Kamal Ataturk to modernize

Turkey. Research and presentation on political and

philosophical work of A llama Iqbal for the struggle of Pakistan.

Week 4

The students will be able to, Describe the progression of the Muslims

league and the events. Evaluate the hindu muslim relations from

1920_____ 1938. Draw a Time line from 1920____1938. Analyze the reasons why the British empire

decline in the 20th century.
