Supplies:

¾” X 5 1/2” Poplar wood cut to 6 lengths:

4” 12” 20” 28” 36” 44” (Drill holes in 4 corners)

5 X packs of 3/16” Braided Cotton Clothesline

120 Grit Sand paper

Metal ring

Measure Tape

Glue

Scissors

Scotch tape

Sand holes and wood ends to smooth edges

Cut 4 packs of clothesline in half to measure 25 feet. Trim a 10 INCH piece from 5th pack

Tape both ends of the eight 25 foot strands

Hang metal ring from chain or secure hook

Thread all lengths of cord through metal ring centering half way

Gather all lengths and tuck 10” cord between ropes, glue along metal ring to secure

Wrap 10 INCH strand tightly around bundle

Tuck end up inside bundle and Glue to secure

a simple way to tie the spiral square knot is to follow this pattern: left rope over center two. right over

left then. . .

behind center two and over left

rope to create an even knot

tighten knots evenly

as you go

this knot will naturally

rotate as you continue to tie

Begin the knotting Process again using the two longer strands in each set of four. Continue until all 6 shelves are threaded onto rope

Begin the knots using 4 strands at a time. Tie 25 knots with each group of 4

Thread all four ends through one hole in the shortest piece of wood. Repeat until all strands are threaded through

Tie one large knot in each four strands at the bottom

Trim the ends to Desired lengthThen Decorate shelves with pine branches, flameless candles & ornaments
