1.0 What’sIncluded

Here’s what’s included with your Machine Connect: 

1. Certified  LT1001  (4G  LTE  Only)  or  LT1000  (2G/3G/4G multimode)  device  depending  on  which module  you ordered 

2. DC Power Supply

2.0 AntennaInformation

There are antennas that are certified to work with Machine Connect. Two examples appear below

Note: Machine Connect requires an antenna to work properly.  If you have not purchased an antenna certified to work with Machine Connect, you can do  so at http://www.connectedio.com/products/.   Use of antenna types other  than  those  certified  to work with  the  LT1001 may  cause performance  to  vary  from  the  stated values. Additional compliance testing for your device may also be required as a result. 

2.1AttachingtheAntennas

Securely screw on the antennas: one on the Primary Port (labeled PRI), one on the Secondary Port (labeled DIV). Wireless performance can be improved by angling the antennas relative to one another as shown in the examples below:

3.3ContactyourVerizonbusinessrepresentativetoactivateyourdeviceontheVerizonWirelessNetworkbyprovidingIMEI#andICCID#listedonthefrontcoverofthedevice.

 

3.4DriversandConnectingtotheInternet(https://www.connectedio.com/pages/software)

To make a connection  to  the  internet using Machine Connect,  the Quanta CM and Windows Drivers must  both  be  installed  on  your  Windows  PC  or  host  machine.  After  launching  the  Quant  CM application, it appears as displayed below. 

 

              

 

1) Signal bar shows the 4G signal strength level 2) After several seconds, the “SIM inserted” should be GREEN and “Registered” indication YELLOW. 3) Click Connect button on the application to connect to the  internet (VZWINTERNET). 4) The word “Connected” should appear in GREEN. Open a browser to verify a connection to the internet 5) Additional diagnostic and reporting appears when the Info button is selected 6) An AT Command prompt window will open when the AT button is selected

3.5 MonitoringtheStatusLED’s

The device has  (2) LED’s  labeled: Status and PWR. The PWR LED should stay on constantly once the DC Power Supply is plugged into an AC outlet and connected to the device. 

 

The Status LED will change states as according to the table below:
