pending on the holiday, each basket will contain a turkey or

ham, vegetable, stuffing or potatoes and rolls. Please con-

sider sponsoring a basket for a local family. Your donation

of $25 will subsidize the cost of each basket. As always all

donations are appreciated and helpful towards reaching our

goal. Donations cans be placed in the Sunday collection

member. Our new number is 724-252-4631. Thank your

for your continued support.

St. Titus (continued)

A friend filled his car with gas at a self-service gas station.

After he had paid and driven away, he realized that he had

left the gas cap on top of his car. He stopped and looked

and, sure enough, it was lost.

Well, he thought for a second and realized that other people

must have done the same thing, and that it was worth going

back to look by the side of the road since even if he couldn't

find his own gas cap, he might be able to find one that fit.

Sure enough, after searching, he found a gas cap. He wiped

it off and slipped it into place with a satisfying click.

"Great," he told his wife as he climbed back into the car, "I

may have lost my gas cap, but I found another one that fits

and it's even a better cap than the one I had - it locks."

###################################### A retired couple are sitting together at home, getting cud-

dly; he takes off his glasses & moves closer. She: "Sweetie,

without your glasses, you still look like that handsome

young man I married." He: "Well, Honey, without my

glasses, you still look pretty good too!"

###################################### Some people are like blisters. They don't show up until the

work is done.

Lord’s Laughter A joyful heart is a good medicine,

but a broken spirit dries up the bones. Prov. 17:22

Lord God, your Church joyfully awaits the coming of its Savior, who enlightens our

hearts and dispels the darkness of ignorance and sin. Pour forth your blessings upon

us as we light the candles of this wreath; may their light reflect the splendor of Christ,

who is Lord, for ever and ever.

disposable diapers, blankets, baby wipes, infant towels,

Oplatki -- will be available in the church vestibule after

Masses on November 30, December 1, 7, and 8.

Eucharistic Adoration -- on Friday, Decem-

ber 6, following the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Adora-

tion will conclude with Benediction at 1 p.m.

What a rewarding First Friday practice: to

spend an hour with our Eucharistic Lord.

There is also Eucharistic Adoration every

Monday evening after the 6:30 p.m. Mass.

Book Club -- November’s meeting was small, but we cov-

ered many pertinent questions about our thrilling book. Our

December book will be East of Eden by John Steinbeck,

and will be discussed at our next meeting on Thursday,

December 12, at 6 p.m. in the Upper Room. No meetings in

January or February due to the possibil-

ity of inclement weather. The chosen

book for March is House We Grew Up

In by Lisa Jewell. Please note our De-

cember meeting will also be our Christ-

mas party, and a great opportunity for

new members to join us and mingle!

Bring a favorite snack, dish, or treat to

share. See you there!

Parish Library -- Just a reminder that

our parish has a lovely library tucked

in the reconciliation room near the

entrance of the church. This treasure

is filled with books about our Catho-

lic Faith, Jesus, Mary, and the Saints.

Our collection includes works by St.

John Paul II, Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen, Thomas

Merton, Scott Hahn, Mark Hart, St. Theresa of Calcutta,

Edward Sri, and Matthew Kelly, just to name a few. There

is no formal checkout and a library card is not required!!

Consider taking a book home to read at your leisure or

when visiting the church during the day.

St. Vincent DePaul Holiday Food Drive -- through De-

cember 15. Last year, we helped approximately 112 fami-

lies with food for the holidays. We are asking all the pa-

rishioners again this year to have a giving spirit and donate

food for families in need in conjunction with our Angel

Tree gifts. This year we are focusing on dry food goods,

such as cereals, pasta, sauces, peanut butter, and canned

vegetables. Please check the expiration dates on the prod-

ucts you are donating.

We thank all of you in

advance for your kind

generosity this holiday

season!

God Bless You!

St. Vincent DePaul Angel Tree -- Please return all gifts

unwrapped on December 7 and 8 and place under the

Christmas Tree. Thank you for helping to make a child’s

Christmas a little brighter.

Christmas Flowers -- The Christmas Flower envelope in

the December package may be used to memorialize de-

ceased loved ones. A contribution amount of $10 or more

result in an acknowledgement of loved ones in the bulletin.

Please print on the front of the envelope the complete name

of the person(s) being remembered and your contribution

amount. Envelopes should be put in the collection basket or

dropped off at the Parish Office no later than December 15.

You may also request memorial flowers through our on-

line giving program.

Email Addresses -- We continue

to “grow” our list of email ad-

dresses to facilitate communica-

tion, especially the weekly bulle-

tin. If you are not receiving it

weekly in your inbox, we don’t

have your email address. Send an email to olofo1@

tist School. We will be watching a DVD entitled Apostolic

Story of Salvation From Abraham to Augustine. All are

filmed on location with Steve Ray. Everyone is welcome.

Request For Help -- Our grouping St. Vincent de Paul So-

cieties along with Deacon Bob and the Knights of Colum-

bus of Our Lady of Fatima will be collecting coats, blan-

kets, socks and deodorant. Some of these items will be de-

livered to the St. Vincent de Paul St. Francis of Assisi Con-

ference at Duquesne University where the students feed

and clothe the homeless population in downtown Pittsburgh

every Sunday evening during the academic year. The rest

of the items will be used to help the needy in our local area.

entrances of our grouping before December 15. Thank you

for helping us help others.

Coping With The Holidays --

An evening of support will be

held Wednesday, December 11,

at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in

the Upper Room at 7 p.m. For

those who have lost a loved

one, the holidays may seem

overwhelming. Often when we

are grieving, we find it difficult to pray. Even more diffi-

cult, is entering into the festive spirit of the Christmas sea-

son. Coping With the Holidays will provide some helpful

suggestions and reflections on how to make it through this

difficult time. To register or for further information, please

call Sr. Margie at 724-857-2644.

Take a moment from the hustle and bustle of the season and

join the St. Titus Choir as they present their Annual Christ-

mas Concert, Christmas Lullaby on Saturday, December

14, 7 p.m. A light reception will follow in Titan Hall.

It is the Mission of Our Lady of Fatima School to develop the individual child

Spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, in a faith environ-

ment rooted in Gospel Values. The administration, faculty, staff, and parents

dedicate their energies and talents to meeting these needs of the children in all

facets of their education by incorporating Gospel values in everyday activities

with in the family, school, community and the church: by teaching as Jesus

taught living Gospel values boldly by examples of our lives, building commu-

nity, and being of service to each other and the world around us.

On October 10, our

school was invited to

be a part of

Hopewell’s

Homecoming

parade. Our

cheerleaders designed

the float and had a lot

of fun cheering in the

parade. We have

been hard at work

learning sidelines,

cheers, and jumps to

prepare for our

basketball

season. Our

cheerleaders are girls

in grades 2-6. We

look forward to seeing

you as we cheer on

our Falcons this year.
