AFFILIATE MEMBER BENEFITS AND SERVICES

• Communications & PublicationsAll MAAR Affiliate members receive the MAAR Weekly REALTOR® e-newsletter, as well as MAAR This Month, the monthly e-magazine. In addition, affiliate members will receive e-mails and notifications from MAAR regarding special events.

• Committee WorkCommittee work is the backbone of your Association. Committees offer you the opportunity to get involved and collaborate with fellow members. Your input helps make MAAR a stronger voice for real estate. The committee selection process takes place in November for the coming year. 

Community Involvement MAAR coordinates volunteer opportunities with Youth Villages, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis, Southwind Elementary and Springdale Elementary. Help make a difference in your community through hands-on work with our partner organizations. Fundraisers such as the Wine Race and Trivia Night are held throughout the year.

• Networking OpportunitiesMAAR holds several events and classes throughout the year, including membership luncheons, fundraisers, an annual Inaugural and Awards event, an annual Election party, RPAC and political events. These events are excellent networking opportunities for Affiliate members to connect with REALTORS®. In addition, you can join the Affiliate Council and collaborate with colleagues on activities to network with and educate REALTOR® members.

• Sponsor ProgramThe sponsor program gives affiliate members the chance to promote their business by putting out literature and speaking to REALTOR® members directly. Opportunities range from one-time event or education sponsorships to a full-year Preferred Partner sponsorship. The goal is to find something that will work for you and your business to reach your marketing objectives

• Membership DirectoryThe names and firms of all Affiliate members are printed in the MAAR Membership Directory each month. As a MAAR member, you can purchase a directory and access the names, offices and addresses for over 3,500 members.

PROMOTE

It is important for Affiliate members to get more bang for their membership dues.

MAAR Affiliate council members are some of the most active and seen MAAR

members – they gain great exposure for their business through active participation in

the association.

EDUCATE

MAAR Affiliate Council members are a group of professionals that provide a product or service to

enhance the real estate industry. The Affiliate Council will be able to provide Realtor® and other

Affiliate members with priceless knowledge on how to effectively grow their business. When their business grows - so does ours.

NETWORKINGProvide Networking

opportunities for all MAAR members. This

may come in the form of an educational forum

about some change in the real estate industry, Breakfast Business Building events, or

Business After Hours. Not to mention the

“grand” events like Golf Tournaments, Wine

Races, or Horse Races. It’s all about relationship

building.

WEBSITE

MAAR will provide us with a presence on the MAAR.org website. There will be an “Affiliates”

tab where other individuals/members can click on to find out information about us, our events, and a link to our website. We can make a blogspot or wordpress and can promote our Affiliate Council

Members through that venue.

GIVE BACK

Affiliate Council members can provide opportunities for Affiliate members to be able to give back to the community (i.e. Toys for Tots, Fill the Food Bank, Youth Villages, etc.) and give back to our

very own MAAR members through the Benevolent Fund.

Everybody can write a check but does a check give you that

loyal relationship you are looking for?

With MAAR

Adult Simba: I know what I have to do. But going back will mean facing my past. I've been

running from it for so long. [Rafiki hits Simba on the head with his stick] Adult Simba: Ow! Jeez, what was that for? 

Rafiki: It doesn't matter. It's in the past. [laughs] 

Adult Simba: Yeah, but it still hurts. Rafiki: Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I

see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it. 

[swings his stick at Simba again who ducks out of the way]

• Let’s use our creative juices to collaborate and come up with a plan to best promote MAAR Affiliate members

• MAAR has left it up to us – we asked for it so it’s our responsibility to bring the focus on the Affiliate membership

• Collectively come together to sponsor a MAAR event
