INTRODUCTION

Read through all of the instructions before starting installat

Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to

minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available

before starting installation.

Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the f

of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complica

steps.

In the event of any problems with the instructions or the

accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Remove the five clips in the subframe and bracket for the

radiator. They will not be reused.

Remove the two screws that hold the panel at the front ed

Remove the panel, it will not be reused, nor the rear screw

Reinstall the front screw in the inner wing.

Do not drill out the front hole to the left. A new hole will be

drilled to the side of it later.

Install the new protective plate for marking and drilling hole

Reinstall the bumper cover.

Make a longitudinal marking 8.5 mm (21/64 ") from the fron

and on the radiator bracket opposite where the locating lu

cut off.

Do the same on the other side where the other locating lug

cut off.

Take workshop lift part no. 9985972 and fixture part no. 99

and use it as a support when handling the engine splash g

in the following points.

Position the engine splash guard on the lift and raise it towthe subframe.

Secure it in the two rear holes using screws and washers

the kit. One washer under the screw head and two wash

between the panel and the subframe for each mounting.

Do not tighten too hard as the engine splash guard must be

adjusted at the front edge according to the made markings
