Learn from the Experts SECRETS IN MUSCULOSKELETAL RADIOLOGY JUNE 29-1 JULY, 2016 EMEK MEDICAL CENTER, AFULA Dr. Mini Pathria is Professor of Clinical Radiology and Chief of the Musculoskeletal Division at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Pathria received her Doctorate of Medicine and did her Radiology Residency at McMaster University in Canada and did her internship at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She did her fellowship at UCSD in musculoskeletal radiology with Dr. Donald Resnick in 1986 and since then, has worked closely with him. Her areas of clinical and research interest include trauma, spine imaging and musculoskeletal MR. Dr. Pathria has coauthored one textbook, MRI of the Musculoskeletal System, and has authored or coauthored over 95 chapters and articles related to musculoskeletal imaging. Her specific areas of clinical and research interest include musculoskeletal trauma, emergency radiology, and musculoskeletal MR imaging. Dr. Pathria is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and training musculoskeletal fellows at UCSD, which is the largest musculoskeletal fellowship program in the United States. She is actively involved in international education and has lectured around the world, participating in outreach and educational programs advancing radiology knowledge in over 20 countries. Why did I invite them? They are role models for education, research and leadership in Musculoskeletal Radiology Why are they coming to Israel? My long-term relations with them as friends, mentors and colleagues Why Emek? To promote equal medicine to all people regardless of geographical location, religion and affordability Dr. Christine B. Chung, is a Professor of Radiology at UCSD, in San Diego, in the Musculoskeletal Division. She is the director of the UCSD Musculoskeletal Imaging Research Group. She authored and coauthored more than 170 peer reviewed articles and has edited 3 musculoskeletal radiology textbooks. Dr. Chung was recognized for her excellence in research and was awarded the President’s Medal of the International Skeletal Society. She is a world renowned educator, and has been invited to lecture around the world. She has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching at national and international meetings, such as the ISMRM. She has served a term on the AMPC of the ISMRM. She has been an examiner at the ABR, and currently serves on the EOF committee for the ABR. Dr. Chung’s research interest lie in the application of novel MR pulse sequences including short and ultrashort T2 for evaluation of articular cartilage, the TMJ, knee meniscus and cortical bone. She has been a memb er of various national and international committees including being Chair of the Grants Committee of the International Skeletal Society, member of the American College of Radiology Informatics committee and member of the American College of Radiology Appropriateness committee. Dr Rosenberg has focused her research on MRI of the musculoskeletal system. Her areas of interest are MRI of the ankle and foot, elbow, nerve disorders, pediatric injuries and bisphosphonate related atypical femoral fractures. She trained as a radiologist at Albert Einstein Medical Center, NY and underwent a 2 year fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NY. Dr. Rosenberg has also been a reviewer for many prestigious journals in radiology including: AJR American Journal of Roentgenology, RadioGraphics, Radiology, Skeletal Radiology and Journal of Computed Tomography.
