Revathi had boarded hisautorickshaw at 12.30 p.m togo to her residence but left be-hind the bag in the vehicle.

She told Mambalam Timesthat she searched everywherein vain and was pleasantlysurprised when the driver ofthe autorickshaw turned up at3.30 p.m to return the bag. Rajrefused to accept a gift, sheadded.

Raj said that 20 minutesafter he had dropped Revathi,a couple who boarded his ve-hicle on VenkatanarayanaRoad noticed the bag and askedhim about it.

He told them to place it onthe shelf behind the seat andforgot about it.

He remembered the bag 2hours later when he was inAnna Nagar. He was not ableto identify the owner and rushedto Revathi’s flat.
