First Baptist Church has participated in the Backpack program at Park View School for the last several years. February is our month to pack the bags and provide snacks to include in the bags.
Please bring snacks to the church and place them in designated baskets around the church or drop them off in the church office. If you would like to help pack the backpacks on Thursday afternoon, contact Ann Hertzfeldt at 526-2510. The Backpack Program is a mission we share with other area churches. First Baptist takes certain months of the year to pack the bags and provide the snacks. We also give financially. This mission helps feed children during the weekend. Food, except for the
snacks, is purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. We are packing 151 bags this year. Different groups from church along with individuals have participated in packing bags. If you want to receive a blessing helping children, sign up to help.
