A GIFT OF 24 HOURS

This year is known as Leap Year because an extra

day is added to February. It forces the shortest

month into a rarity of five Saturdays.

Therefore, our fifth Saturday Neighborhood

Brunch will be held on February 29th. And we

will celebrate it as A Gift of 24 Hours. We’ll

enjoy preparing a delicious meal for friends and

spend quality time in conversation with those

who live in our community. Our Father loves it

when his children dwell together in unity.

UNITY GARDEN GET TOGETHER

On February 11, he Garden Committee will meet

at the Garden at 3:30 PM, weather permitting.

We’ll be coordinating efforts with WMHS

Agriculture classes and setting target dates for

tilling, mulching, planting and weeding.

Already growing indoors at Greg Kula’s home

are seeds for early planting. The Greenhouse

Class at WMHS will start the summer crop of

seedlings and lots of marigolds for around the

perimeter of the garden.

All who are interested in being part of the Unity

Garden at Grace are welcome.

ECW News and Notes

February

On Saturday, February 8th, the

women of Grace will meet in the Parish Hall

starting a 10 a.m.

We will have a short business meeting to map out

the first couple of months of the new year.

We will then make Valentine Cards to send to our

friends who are on our prayer list.

Refreshments will be served. Please plan to

attend and make your light shine this Epiphany!

Save the Date! The ECW Diocese of Virginia

will have a Lenten Quiet Day on Thursday

February 27th, at the Roslyn Conference and

Retreat Center in Richmond. The Rt. Rev. David

Jones, and The Very Rev. Kim Coleman will be

our speakers with music led by Ellen Johnston.

What a wonderful way to start your Lenten

season.

Registration and coffee begin at 9:30 a.m. The

day will end at approximately 2:30 p.m. The cost

for the day is $35 and includes lunch.

our morning worship will

be a Celtic Experience.

This will be a service of

Holy Communion with a bit

more meditative space and

special prayers and some

glorious Celtic music
