Sir, - I am a resident of R. K. Flats, Jeevanandam Street, West K. K.Nagar.

The sewage drain pipe laying work in Munisamy Salai near our streetwas started in December last year.

To facilitate the work, the sewage pipes connected to the main from allthe residents/flats in our area was temporarily closed.

Because of this the overflowing sewage water let out into the stormwaterdrain from some adjacent flats are contaminating our water supply owingto seepage into our well as well as the Metrowater sump.

This has lead to severe health issues amongst our flat members. Evenafter pursuing the matter with Sewage Board officials and Corporationofficials, no remedy measures have been taken so far.
