Field of activity

IT system electronics technicians (m/f) plan and install information technology and telecommunications systems, including the relevant equipment, components and networks. They install the power supply and the system and commission the system. They produce customized solutions by modifying hardware and software. They analyse faults and rectify malfunctions.

Typical areas in which electronics technicians work include computer systems, fixed networks, radio networks, terminals and security systems.

IT system electronics technicians qualify as skilled electrical technicians under accident prevention regulations.
