Lync 2013 bietet neue Möglichkeiten am Arbeitsplatz. Wie können diese Möglichkeiten eingesetzt werden und was muss bei Migrationen beachtet werden? In dieser Session erhalten Sie eine Antwort auf diese Fragen.

Seit fünfeinhalb Jahren arbeite ich ausschliesslich auf dem Produkt OCS/Lync. In diesem Bereich durfte er die sehr spannende und aufregende Zeit seit dem Einstieg der Microsoft in die Welt der Telefonie miterleben. Als Ausgleich zum IT-Alltag spielt er sehr gerne Radball oder unternimmt Ausflüge mit seiner Familie.

Migration

What version are you migration from?

What features in the topology will you deploy?

Deploy inside – out

Limitations:

Lync 2013 do not Support Windows XP or Vista

Office 2007 not supported

User will see the new features when homed on a Lync 2013 Pool

Take care in a Migration on the following

Topology Builder (only use 2013 topology Builder)

ResponseGroup (all users first, only all RGS at one time can be migrated)

SIP Trunk (tel your provider the migration)

CMS (move CMS bevor decommission Lync 2010)

Meeting content (Move-CsUser <user> -MoveConferenceData)

Migration from OCS 2007 R2

1. Install latest CU on OCS 2007 R2 servers

2. AD Prep / define Lync topology

3. Deploy Lync Servers 2013

4. Merge OCS 2007 R2 topology into Lync topology

5. Import legacy policies and settings (import-csLegacyConfiguration)

6. Configure Lync Server 2013 Pool

7. Migrate users

8. Complete Post – Migration Tasks (RGS, Dial-In, Voice Routes, Exchange UM Contact, Conference Directory, DNS)

9. Deploy Lync 2013 Client

10. Decommission OCS 2007 R2 (Conference Directory, DNS)

Migration from Lync 2010

1. Install latest CU on Lync 2010 servers

2. AD Prep / define Lync topology

3. Migrate users (Move-CsUser <user> -MoveConferenceData)

4. Complete Post – Migration Tasks (Meeting content, Dial-In, Call Park, RGS, Common Area Phones / analog)

5. Redeploy SBA (move users to other Pool, Remove 2010 SBA, deploy 2013 SBA, move users back)

6. Deploy Lync 2013 Client

7. Decommission Lync 2010 (DNS, move CMS, remove Lync 2010 from topology)
