LVCC employees are both professional educators and nurturing caregiverswith experience and expertise in the ield of early childhood education. We believe that for every child to receive h ighly eective early education andcare we need to recruit and retain the best employees. We encourage and
support ongoing education, training and development opportunities for our
over 200 sta members.
Proven Outcomes
As a iscally responsible, not-for-proit organization, LVCC must demonstratethat our programs make a positive dierence in the lives of children andfamilies. Our infant, toddler, and preschool teachers use the Creative Curriculum
Developmental Continuum to measure childrens progress and eectively designclassroom activities. This assures parents and sta that each child is receiving
the help he or she needs to achieve appropriate developmental milestones.
School-age classrooms utilize the Heartwood Institutes literature-based ethics
and character education curriculum. Through this program LVCC helps olderchildren incorporate ethical thinking into their everyday lives. We use s tareports and child surveys to measure our progress in promoting tolerance,
cooperation, and mutual respect among school-age children.

Services
More than 1,000 children receive highly eective early education and childcare services each day at Lehigh Valley Childrens Centers (LVCC). Werethe largest full-day, year-round, early care and education provider in the region, with over 20 locations in Lehigh and Northampton counties. Starting with
children as young as six weeks and continuing through age 12, we guide and
encourage children as they learn and develop new skills.
LVCC oers early education and child care that bui ld a solid foundation fora lifetime of learning. Young children develop important social and school
readiness skills. Older children enjoy safe, e nriching before- and after-school
programs and summer activities that build and reinforce skills gained inschool. All children thrive, as families and sta work together to provide a safe,
nurturing environment in which children learn through play and exploration.
We understand that each childs development is unique. All LVCC classrooms
use a research-based curriculum that allows teachers to tailor learning activitiesto enhance each childs emotional, cognitive, physical and social growth.
