Artist Statement

I am a Brazilian Visual Artist with a scientific mind and an artistic soul along a free spirit to put Science and Art together.

I studied Biological Science, got my Ph.D. in Genetics and worked at The History of Science Graduate Program as a teacher and researcher until 2004. I have also worked at Peace Education NGO as a Director of The Artist for Peace Program organizing lectures about Science & Art for Peace.

I believe every creative process is a biographical process. Therefore, my art results from my personal and intellectual trajectory. As a self-taught artist, I have the freedom to create

from the original motivation that drives every moment of my life. My artwork is a connection between Science, Art, and Spirituality. 

Recent exhibitions include, Sing for Hope Pianos 2017, The 5th Bronx Latin American Art Biennial, Queens Museum, BronxArtSpace, The Joan Mitchel Foundation, The Artists Unite MTA Poster Project, The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt New York, The NY Museum of Modern Art’s “Abstract Currents”, BKLYN Designs, Naples Museum of Art, Folklore Museum of Tripotamos Greece, The National College of Ireland, Ireland and The French Institute Alliance Française. His work is also a part of the Fundación Francisco de Quevedo's permanent collection in Ciudad Real, Spain.
