Workshop Outline

• Review requirements of PA Airport Zoning Act & Part 77.

• Explain the Part 77 Imaginary Surface concepts and identify surfaces in each region.

•• Provide guidance on the development of ordinances.

• Discuss administration and enforcement responsibilities of airport zoning.

• Review funding and technical assistance opportunities.

• Begin discussion of cooperatively enacting ordinances locally.

Who Should Attend ?

Planning commissionmembers, zoning boardmembers, elected andmembers, elected andappointed officials, municipalsolicitors, and plannersinvolved in zoning for theirmunicipality. While zoning is the responsibilityof municipalities, county andof municipalities, county andmetropolitan/rural planningorganizations, as well asairports, have a role to play.
