LED HIGH BAY LUMAD’s Australian designed, Ultra-Lite High Bay utilises advanced engineering and materials within its housing to reduce weight

without compromising its thermal dissipation dramatically. In fact, heat dissipation is improved by using Magnesium Alloy which further

enables prolonged product life. The properties of the Lexan Polycarbonate cover provide superior light uniformity, output and clarity.

Compared to standard polycarbonate cover, the high impact strength qualities make it extremely safe for a myriad of industrial, commercial and

warehouse applications.

The Ultra-lite is best used where general lighting is needed. The clear edge creates extra

light spill, increasing the overall coverage. Quality, reliability and superior light output are

what differentiates the Ultra-lite from other manufacturers, giving us the confidence to back

ARCHITECTURAL LED FLOODLIGHT Our sleek slim-line Architectural Floodlight has been designed in conjunction with our engineers to produce a discrete, durable, efficient and

quality floodlight. The flood includes one of NICHIA’s latest creations; the NF2W757GRT series LED chip offering an average of 147lm/W.

Combined with our cutting-edge optical lenses, we can deliver outstanding light output targeted where required, while decreasing the hot spot

and improving light distribution. A combination of high-quality materials, technology and lens design provide an exceptional floodlight for

numerous Industrial, Commercial, and Public spaces. The advantage of having a range of optical lenses, provides superior light versatility,

LED FLOODLIGHT Ultra-Power Floodlight is an extremely flexible and versatile high power LED floodlight that ensures an excellent quality of light, targeted where

required, while also decreasing hot spot and improving the light distribution. A well-designed thermal management system becomes one of the

necessities when developing LEDs; therefore we have installed a sunflower heatsink that will allow increased airflow through the

housing generating greater reliability, longer life expectancy and optimal performance. Available in 200W and 400W, this incredible floodlight can

be used in many industrial situations, warehouses, factories, yards, car parks, etc. Suitable for use in high mounting situations 10-35m and

perfect for large open areas.

ULTRA-PANEL Ultra-Panel with UGR≤19 Low Glare LED Panel light with the advanced PMMA LED diffuser delivering superior brightness while reducing glare

and is flicker free. Adhering to Australian Standards AS/NZS 1680.2.3-2008, with a UGR<19, Lumad’s panel is ideally suited to offices,

hospitals, nursing homes, schools and shopping centres and can directly replace the traditional fluorescent troffers saving up to 70% energy. The

6063 Aluminium housing acts as a heat sink ensuring excellent heat dissipation. Adopting a laser engraved diffusion plate with more than

90% light transmittance creates uniformity of light and reduced shadow. Panels can be recessed, surfaced mounted with frame and pendant

hung with cables.

So why is glare control important? What is glare?

Glare is a visual phenomenon that is caused by a

difference in luminous intensity, or a bright spot. Glare

can cause eye strain, discomfort, fatigue and

temporary vision loss.

This is why the Australian Standards call for low glare

lighting solutions for schools, offices,

hospitals, nursing homes and childcare facilities.

TECHNOLOGY

It can be very challenging for lighting companies to chose the best components that meets not only specification but which ticks all the boxes

when it comes to function, efficiency, luminosity, quality, price and specific light patterns. Lumad’s engineering team has designed an optical

lens solution that allows you to customise the light to suit your individual requirements. This can be achieved by selecting the desired optical

lens (30°, 60°, 90° or a combination 70°x140°) which will enhance the properties of the fixture to meet specific needs.

Lumad’s optical lenses are made from Mitsubishi’s Japanese PMMA polycarbonate which assists with greater heat resistance, has excellent

transparency (92% ±), high impact strength and strong resistance to UV. Designed in a 2x2 square configuration, allowing each set of 4 lenses

to be individually secured to the PC Board, we have eliminated the issue of buckling that some other manufacturers face. Buckling occurs as the

PC Board and LED chips heat up causing the lens to change shape moving focal points. Many companies offer so-called general lenses (full

face) that are provided for various LED types and only adjusted by height to get them on the correct focal plane.

Quite often, a request for a specific light pattern can be easily achieved by using several different standard lenses. The combination 70°x140°

optical lenses are designed for car parks, streetlights, parks and billboards enabling a wide light distribution.

IIn general terms, lens selection is similar to adjusting the nozzle on a hose. Using the jet stream, you get an intensely focused stream of water

whereas if you turn the nozzle to the wide spray, you get a less intense stream of water but over a wider spread. In both of these scenarios the

same volume of water is imputed from the tap, but depending on the spray selection determines the intensity of the water you receive.

For example, if you have a 100W light fitting and install a 30 ° lens the lux levels directly below the light will be significantly more than if you had a

90° lens.

By attaching a hose that allows you adjust the way the water exits, the hose will more than likely not use the widest spray possible. When

translated to lighting terms, the efficiency of the hose is how much total water is leaving the tip, for example, how much total light is emitted from

the light source. The efficiency of the hose goes down when you tighten the nozzle, but the impact of your hose has gone up dramatically.

LED's typically comes with a standard 120° beam, as the LED chips themselves are designed to those specs. Lots of lumens are no good if they

are not being delivered to your desired target. The higher your mounting height, the narrower the beam needs to be to deliver maximum light to

your desired target.
