Welcome to Harlescott’s Summer term newsletter. It has been a busy term, we have squeezed in lots of things before the Summer break.
April: Term started after the Easter holidays.

Mrs Lyth’s duckling,Bolt, came for a visit
June: We had our HEC sports day.
July: We welcomed parents and carers to our annual open day
Luke receives the Olivia Parton Reading
Award from Mrs Rudge who taught Olivia, a
former TMBSS pupil, whilst she was in
hospital.
In June we had Harry’s
Day. The pupils were
asked to think of a joke
and then read it out in
assembly after giving a
donation. We raised
£50 in memory of
Harry, a former TMBSS
pupil.
We held our Open Day
and Summer concert in
July. There were many
games including Lucky
Dip, Name the Teddy and
two raffles. A huge thanks
to all who attended and
contributed. We raised
nearly £140, with which
we were able to buy
some new play equip-
ment which had been
asked for by the School
Council.
Enjoy the holidays!

The afternoon Key Stage 1 class started the first ever
KS1 Forest School sessions at HEC. We tried lots of new
and different activities including mapping, natural art
and shelter building linked to ‘The Stick Man’. We
always made time for a hot drink and snack. It was a
great success and something we hope to continue with
next year. Our annual sports day was
held inside due to bad
weather. We had a variety
of events involving
running and throwing. The
pupils gave their all and
the sportsmanship was
commendable.
