Luciana Mancini Mezzo-soprano The Chilean/Swedish mezzo-soprano Luciana Mancini graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Holland, in both Classical singing and Early music interpretation, as a student of Rita Dams, Jill Feldman, Michael Chance, Peter Kooij and Diane Forlano. In 2009 she finished her studies in the Masters program, specialising in Early Italian repertoire.

Her most recent appearances include the role of Messaggera in a concert performance of Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Divino Sospiro and conductor Enrico Onofri at the Gulbenkian in Lisbon, the roles of Vita Mondana and Prudentio in a new production of Emilio de’ Cavalieri’s Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo at the Staatsoper Berlin with René Jacobs conducting, Volupia and Didone in a new production of Cavalli’s Egisto staged by Benjamin Lazar at l'Opéra-Comique and Opéra de Rouen Haute Normandie with Le Poème Harmonique, Amastre in Händel’s Serse at Theater an der Wien with Jean-Christophe Spinosi conducting, Bontempi’s Il Paride at the Musikfestspiele Sanssouci with Christina Pluhar, Messaggera in L´Orfeo by Monteverdi with the Choeur de Chambre de Namur, La Fenice conducted by Jean Tubery in the Vantaa Baroque Festival, Festival Baroque de Pontoise, Bilbao and Warsaw and the role of Amastre in Serse with Lautten Compagney conducted by Wolfgang Katchner touring in different theatres in Germany and Poland. Forthcoming engagements include,Haydn’s Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze with the Bergen Philharmonic and Juanjo Mena conducting, a revival of Cavalli’s Egisto at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and a revival of Cavalieri’s Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo at the Staatsoper Berlin. Together with L’Arpeggiata she has collaborated in programs such as La Rappressentatione di Anima et di Corpo in the Early Music Festival of Brugge, Festival de Música Sacra in Cuenca, Festival de Semana Santa in Valladolid and Festival de Sablè, the Vespro della Beata Vergine by Claudio Monteverdi in Poissy, and several concerts with programs such as Los Imposibles, Via Crucis and Al Improviso in different cities in Europe. Her further operatic repertoire includes the role of Bradamante in the opera Il palazzo Incantato by Luigi Rossi and the role of Dafne in G. Peri’s L’Euridice. Later baroque repertoire also includes the main J.S.Bach oratorios and several Händel roles such as Matilde in Händel´s opera Lotario, Galatea in Händel´s serenata Aci, Galatea e Polifemo and Cleofe in the Oratorio La Resurrezione by Händel with Contrasto Armonico.
