Lucian Sorescu, MD, brought with him an extensive educational and training background when he joined “Our” Blue Ridge Medical Group at the North Wilkesboro location in 2001.

After earning his MD degree from the Carol Davila University School of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Sorescu came to the United States to continue his training. He completed his internship at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center, McKeesport Hospital. His Internal Medicine Residency was completed at the Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Sorescu is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. His practice provides management and treatment of acute illnesses, chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, dementia, digestive problems, coronary disease, strokes, osteoporosis and other complex medical problems for adults 18 years of age and older. A strong emphasis is placed on preventive medicine. In addition to his office practice, Dr. Sorescu sees his patients at the local nursing homes.
