The Intentionally Unbroken Broken Exterior Has: A Main Elevation Fracture,

Many Broken Columns, and a Shifted Broken Niche Outside…..

The Inside Re-Supports All The Intentional Brokenness and Cracks, Keeping

Both the Structural and Visual Stability…..

WHEN WE FEEL THAT WE ARE JUST LIKE THIS BROKEN COLUMN! WITH ALL THE LOAD

THAT WE ARE BEARING ….. WE SHOULD MAKE BELIEVE THAT OUR TRUE POWERFUL

INSIDE WILL ULTIMATELY RE-SUPPORT OUR BROKENNESS, AND WE WILL KEEP GOING

ON FOR SURE……

The redevelopment project of the Dominican Fathers’

Complex in AL-SAA’H

Mosul-Nineveh 1998-2000 - Designed by: Luay Buni This project includes preserving some existing Nineteenth century buildings, and then re-

relating them with other new buildings to represent a unity of a one new complex design.

A Broken Exterior of Stone which is re-supported by Red, Blue, Dark

Blue, and White Internal belonging Marble Elements.

THE TWISTED EXTERNAL ELEVATION OF THE ART GALLERY…..

THIS BROKENNESS IS RE-SUPPORTED BY RED AND BLUE MARBLE ELEMENTS WHICH

ARE EXTENSONS FROM THE INTERNAL GALLERY'S ARCHES (SEE BELOW)

THE UNBROKEN BROKEN MAIN GATE AND DIFFERENT EXTERNAL CORNERS

MANY TIMES WE THINK AND FEEL THAT WE ARE JUST LIKE AN ARCH LACKING AN EXTERNAL

KEYSTONE IN THIS WORLD, BEING BROKEN INTO TWO UNSTABLE PIECES WHICH ARE MOVING

SEPERATELY AND IDEPENDENTLY, TO FEEL THAT WE ARE ABOUT TO FALL …..

I SAY: ((( THIS IS WRONG )))!

OUR INTERNAL POWER WILL NOT ONLY RESHAPE A NEW STRONGER KEYSTONE TO US, BUT IT

WILL ALSO SUPPORT US LATERALLY (LIKE NEVER BEFORE)…..

UNLIKE THE NONE BROKEN, THE UNBROKEN BROKEN PROVIDES A PLACE

FOR RINGING BELLS AND MUSIC, I LOVE MUSIC ;)
