Mentees Objectives … In Brief • To develop staff capabilities in e-delivery using Moodle
• To develop e-delivery champions and mentors within the workgroup
• To increase the provision of e-learning in workgroup by 10% by end 2010

• Intensive small group Moodle training • 1 x Mentor (Julie)• 2 x ‘Students’
• Introduced to alternative methods, software, and tools
• Support tailor made to individual’s needs

Firstly …• Surveyed participants to gauge knowledge, skills and
confidence – or lack of them• Devised individual projects Secondly …• Experimented • Discovered, discarded and discovered more things • Tried and ‘tasted' tools Then ….• Surveyed participants who demonstrated an increase in
knowledge, skills and confidence.
What we covered in the Program
• Demoodling the moodle
• Linking content to images
• Using books/webpages
• Learning how to add assignments
• How to create quizzes
• We explored Podcasting, and best places to store audio files,
Learning Journey … So Far So Good …… and yet so far to go• The biggest hurdles:
• What we didn’t know• The range and breadth of available resources • Deciding what works in each context • Time to think proactively rather than reactively• Understanding how the student thinks and learns in
an ‘e’ environment• Consistent structure … helping us all find our course!
