The dawn of passion to edify deprived and needy pupils was encompassed in the mid of 1983 in
the name of 'Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha'(LTJSS) at Nagpur, a leading
educational institute of Vidarbha in Central India. The Sanstha derives its philosophy from the
magnanimous Indian educationist, Bal Gangadhar Tilak to accomplish his vision of social
reformation through education. The inaugural stone of LTJSS was laid by the Ex. Minister of
Textile and Labour in Government of Maharashtra, Dr. Satish Chaturvedi, an audacious and
influential chairman of the Sanstha in 1990. He played his first soprano in 1990 with the
establishment of 'Priyadarshini College of Engineering' and 'Pallavi Diploma College of
Education'. Today LTJSS has trancended into a vast canvas of education encompassing all
courses and disciplines.
The Sanstha has always been making a modest attempt to observe the ideology of new system
of education and to manifest the dream of modern India. Sanstha is always devoted to bestow
quality education to the students from all strata of India. LTJSS acquired a remarkable
recognition in the educational scenario of the city for imbibing with a sense of self-discipline,
self-confidence and self-motivated accomplishment to more than 15,000 students through 25
institute from pre-primary to the higher professional education stage.
In this attempt, Sanstha now aims to flourish the toddlers of nation with its fine embroidered
tenderness incorporated with moral values and scientific temper so that the youth of India can
become an embodiment of perfection and the whole humanity could feel proud of it.
ABOUT US
Imparting education is a noble profession. Keeping this in mind, I along
with Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha envisaged an
institution and named it “Lokmanya Tilak International School”.
Children are our valuable assets and we need to invest in their future
adequately. Hence we have to build up character of the students from
the very childhood. They have to be taught to honour family and social
values. It is our school's vision that when the students pass out from
the school, they should not be the one in the crowd, but they should
stand out in the crowd they pass through.
The school has excellent state of the art infrastructural facilities.
Besides, the teaching faculty is constantly motivated to make all our
efforts to generate creativity, confidence, ethical values, decision
making capability, quick initiative taking qualities in the student
community. Though the task is challenging, I am glad to state that
teaching faculty and management have always endeavoured to turn
this challenge into an opportunity to bring out on the surface the
hidden talent in every individual student.
This is the genesis of LTJSS: Mission Education, our attempt to change
the quality of teaching-processes in school. We want to help children
develop into critical thinkers, creative doers, problem solvers and
sensitive human beings…. and in the process, we hope they will
discover and realize their infinite potential.
I take this opportunity to dedicate ourselves to the task of shaping up
the best generation of pupils for the India of tomorrow.

CURRICULUMPRIMARY LEVEL
Our pace of imparting education is set by the individual learner and not by the teacher. The curriculum
at the primary level facilitates the children to develop and employ thinking power in commensuration
with her/his growing age. The thinking process is promoted and stimulated by involving various
elements of images, concepts, signs and symbols.
The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For
Grade I-V the students are evaluated two times in a year. Along with the compulsory first language-
English, second language-Hindi, students are given a choice between Marathi and Sanskrit as the third
language from grade V onwards. Apart from the above languages French language is also introduced
from grade I itself.
SECONDARY LEVEL
We scrupulously follow an educational pattern of instruction of Central Board of Secondary Education
(CBSE). The child is continuously and comprehensively evaluated and assessed throughout the
academic year so that necessary changes can be incorporated within him/her throughout his/her
educational journey .
Scholastic
The curriculum followed by LTIS strictly adheres to the standard prescribed by CBSE. Academic
assessment of a child is done by following the uniform system of assessment as recommended by CBSE.
The child is assessed on different parameters by conducting periodic test, semester exam and subject
enrichment activities etc. during the academic year.
Co-scholastic
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities like taekwondo, art , yoga, dance are
carried out in LTIS.
METHODOLOGY
At LTIS teaching is totally based on 'Psycho cognitive' pattern i.e. learning by doing. The methodology
comprises of instructions both formal and non formal teaching techniques. Role-play, hands on
activities, labs, projects are a regular feature of the lesson plan. The teaching is supported by teaching
aids and e-learning technology which are backed by suitable teaching software to make the lessons
interesting and their impact long lasting.

We
Our focus is on developing the child's personality
instead of imparting information only. At LTIS the
children not only equip themselves with academic
and co-curricular skills, but also make it a habit to
spare a thought for the ones who are less privileged
than them : social and community service form a part
of LTIS student's nature.
Student & Parent counseling form an integral part at
LTIS. Children are provided with counseling on
various issues along with the support of their parents
and teachers. This helps the child to develop different
approaches to a problem.
Picnics & field trips are conducted to widen the
mental horizon of children & facilitate acquisition of
real information. Such experiences enable to
establish the sense of proximity with nature & also
realize & appreciate the exotic natural environment.
Summer camps are organized to develop aesthetic
sense amongst the students. Well qualified
professionals are recruited to cater the innate
qualities & creative imagination of the children.
