CONCERT SPECTACULAR: MUSIC SPEAKSFRIDAY, JANUARY 30 @ 7:30 P.M. LSU UNION THEATERThe LSU School of Music’s Concert Spectacular offers the chance to see some of the best and brightest young musical talent on stage in one celebratory concert. Music often can express emotions beyond words, thus the inspiration for this year’s concert, taken from Danish author Hans Christian Andersen: “Where words fail, music speaks.”

ALL MY SONSFEBRUARY 4-15SHAVER THEATRE | PRESENTED BY SWINE PALACEBy Arthur Miller • Directed by Jane PageDuring WWII Joe Keller and Herbert Deever ran an airplane parts machine shop. Deever went to prison because the parts were defective, causing many deaths. Keller went free and prospered. The shadow of this misfortune combines with the young Keller son reported missing during the war to dominate the action. The climax showing the reaction of a son to his guilty father is a fitting conclusion to this intense play.

LSU JAZZ SHOWCASEFEBRUARY 19 @ 7:30 P.M.LSU UNION THEATERWith guest saxophonist Denis DiBlasio, this once-a-season concert features all the LSU Jazz Groups, including the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab Band, and chamber groups.
