Loyola has been well representedthrough the years on the NCAAAll-America teams. During the past25 years, 10 Greyhounds haveearned national recognition.Ernie Cox was the Greyhounds’

first All-America, earning second-team honors in 1973, while movingup to the first team a season later.John Houska was Loyola’s secondtwo-time All-America selection, re-ceiving honors in 1975 and 1976.Pete Notaro, another two-time All-

America at Evergreen, was an hon-oree in both 1977 (Honorable Men-tion) and 1978 (First Team) whileStan Koziol earned second-teamAll-America status during both the1986 and 1987 seasons.In 1994, Zach Thornton became

just the fifth player in school his-tory to be named an All-Americatwice in his career. Thornton, afirst-team choice in 1993, wasnamed to the third team in 1994.
