Kinds of love

1. Conjugal Love > it is the natural affection of husband and

wife.

2. The Parental Love > as the term implies, love between

parents and children.

3. The Filial Love > it is more of the attraction of the child to

his father and mother.

4. Fraternal Love > it is a love between brother and sister.

Elements of Love

1. Physical Element > which is the powerful urge of a man

towards a woman and vice-versa.

2. Emotional Element > which is a very strong attachment of one

person to another manifested in one’s happiness in the presence of the other and loneliness in the absence.

3. Intellectual Element > which is a belief that they are

compatible with each other.

4. Volitional Element > which is a very great determination to

make the suitability permanent and deeper during life.

Characteristics of True Love

woman to enter into marriage. e. True love understands that marriage is a

relationship that is sacred and indissoluble, with each of the couple having different roles and functions to perform and various rights to exercise for the unity and success of their family and home.

f. True love knows the dignity of parenthood and the beauty of children and endeavors to beget and educate them with wisdom and love that they may be citizens of the world.

than during courtship because it is only in marriage where each knows the other intimately including one’s weakness and feelings.

have seen, it could be described.

What is a Mature Love? > is a type of love which is of prime

importance in marital life.

Courtship > which is a stage preparatory to marriage, is

essential to successful marriage.

Dating > is one of the first steps in choosing a mate,

as it affords an opportunity to develop interpersonal skills useful before and within marriage.

Choosing a mate > should be the laboratory-where two people

test the possibilities of their living together in the permanent companionship of a marriage.

Engagement > getting engagement is no more or less than a

formalization of courtship.

> it is also defined as a biological urge which explains the universal desire for mating and accounts for the propagation of the species.

> the term implies that in every human being there exist a component of the instinct of self-preservation known as the sex drive.

> thus, sex-love impulse is a psychobiological force incorporating the ides of both the physical or the biological and the psychological or emotional.

> the “sex-love impulse” is the most powerful of all emotions.

> the abuse of sex can form the nucleus of a love tragedy, whereas the healthy management of sex can result not only
