A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR TIM
I trust that you all have been enjoying the Sunday Live Stream services each week during this time of isolation. While we know it is not ideal, (as we would love to meet together), we can give thanks that we have been able to stay connected in this way.
We can also focus on the opportunity that this affords us in being able to share in a unique experience with our families at home each week. Perhaps you should all begin to make plans to continue family worship together, even after we are able to meet together physically again.
We want to say a big thank you to Steve and Young who did a great job of taking us through the book of Colossians over the past four weeks. I am very excited about the new series that we are starting today, “The Gospel According to Genesis”! As the fi rst book in the Bible, we can learn a great deal about God’s big story which runs through the whole Bible! We will spend 12 weeks looking at how that story begins and then unfolds through the fi rst book of the Pentateuch! We will also be following the ‘scarlet thread’ of the gospel as we make our way through the characters and narrative of Genesis.
I hope that you will join us in immersing yourself in the Word over the 12 weeks of the series. I would recommend that you read through the whole book during that time to get the full benefi t of our study. In this fi rst week please read through Genesis chapters1 & 2. I trust that you will be blessed and challenged as we dive into scripture together!
I love you in Christ,Pastor Tim

He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

BIBLE READING
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the fi rst day.
Genesis 1:1-5 (ESV)
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
2 Timothy 1:8-12 (ESV)

God’s big story needs to be known and understood as the key to His Word. As we see it
revealed in the Old and New Testaments it enables us to have a God glorifying gospel
perspective for life and ministry.
