First Friday Adoration – May 7
Time with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration is the highest form of prayer outside of the Mass.
What a great gift it is that we have First Friday Adoration at our parish!
All are welcome and encouraged to join us for First Friday Adoration on Friday, May 7, anytime between 9:30am
to 7:00pm
(Benediction at 6:45pm).
If you are interested in signing up for a reoccurring holy hour on the first Friday of each month,
or if you would like to be added to the list of substitute adorers, please contact: Mary Fink at [email protected]

“The love of God and neighbor, the greatest commandment, is expressed in,
and the fruit of, Eucharistic worship.” (St. John Paul II)
estudiaba en el Seminario de San
Meinrad, en Indiana. Hay personas
que animan y apoyo a las vocaciones.
A veces alguien me pregunta lo que
estaba haciendo antes de ir al
seminario.
Voy a celebrar 26
años en este ministerio el 3 de Junio.
Nuestra parroquia ha sido el hogar
espiritual de varias vocaciones. Padre
David Brown del Belmont Abbey fue
el primer feligrés en ser ordenado
como sacerdote. Fui llamado por Dios
para ser sacerdote y sé que soy
bendecido sin medida. Ciertamente,
puedo decir, “¡Es una vida
maravillosa!”
En paz,
Padre Marcos
ustedes desea más información sobre
nuestro programa de seminaristas. En
este domingo reflexiono sobre el don
del sacerdocio con gran humildad. El
llamado viene de Dios, pero la familia
a menudo nos ayuda a escuchar el
llamado al tiempo que proporciona
apoyo amoroso. El Catecismo señala
que los padres deben acoger con
alegría y acción de gracias al llamado
del Señor a uno de sus hijos a seguirlo
en la vocación religiosa. [2233] Estoy
agradecido por los miembros de mi
familia, especialmente una abuela
que siempre me apoyó
espiritualmente durante mi formación
y en los primeros años de mi
sacerdocio. También estoy
agradecido por todos los feligreses en
mis tareas parroquiales de
seminarista y con los niños en edad
escolar que me escribieron, mientras

l cuarto domingo de Pascua se
conoce como Domingo del Buen
Pastor. Jesús dijo: “Yo soy el buen
pastor. El buen pastor da la vida por
sus ovejas. […] Yo soy el buen pastor,
porque conozco a mis ovejas y ellas
me conocen a mí.” En este domingo,
en toda la Iglesia, todos estamos
animados a orar y apoyar las
vocaciones al sacerdocio. El Papa
Francisco, al igual que sus
predecesores, anima a todos los fieles
a orar por la santidad de los
sacerdotes y para una renovación
espiritual. Todos los que se les ha
confiado el ministerio pastoral tienen
a nuestro Señor como el modelo
pastoral. Estoy convencido de que el
Señor sigue llamando a los hombres a
esta vocación. Tenemos muchos
ministerios en la Iglesia. Estamos
trabajando juntos. La Iglesia, sin
embargo, tiene necesidad de
sacerdotes para celebrar los
sacramentos sagrados como la
Eucaristía, Penitencia y Unción de los
enfermos.

Can you HELP? St. Therese is looking for a new chairperson
for our Ecumenism Commission and to recruit parishioners

could help our church, let us know! Not sure you want to take
on a leadership role? No worries! Join us anyway!

Help us to continue to Love God, Follow Jesus and Serve All through your generosity of treasure.
“I am the good shepherd...and I lay down my life for the sheep…
and they will heed my voice.” - JOHN 10:14-16
When you pray, do you only ask Jesus for the things that you want?
Do you ever ask Him what He wants from you? How do you listen for His response?
Many times Jesus responds in “quiet whispers” that are not so obvious.
So, take time every day, in silence, to actively listen for His voice.

The Community Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman is a service
supporting women that recognizes the sanctity of life and
offers alternatives to the tragedy of abortion. Fr. Mark has
visited the center and has attended their fund-raising banquet
for the past three years. This banquet is the primary fundraiser
for the Pregnancy Center and will be held virtually again this
year on Thursday, May 20 at 7:00pm. For those who would
prefer not to drive in the evening and park downtown, this will
be great! You may participate in the banquet from your living

The goal for this year's banquet is $150,000, which is one-third of their budget. Fr. Mark has agreed to be a
