We ask for this at the beginning of the year to avoid any last-minute problems. -Credit Card: At registration, every family will be required to place a card on file. This is mandatory at registration. PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Louisiana Rush offers two separate options for payment. You may choose to enroll in the Auto Pay Plan or you may pay your tuition and expense billing payments manually with a check (made payable to LA Rush), cash, or Visa/MasterCard/Discover credit card.

If you sign up for the Auto Pay Plan, your monthly tuition will be charged to the card on file on the 2ndof each month and you will receive a $15.00 discount. Your other expenses will be charged on the 15th of the month in which they are due.

You may however continue to pay your monthly tuition as it is due with cash, check or credit card. If your tuition/expense billing payments are not paid by the 5th/15th, your credit card on file will be charged on the 6th/16th with a $25.00 late fee per payment.

• Tuition Discounts: 20% discount for 2nd child enrolled at Louisiana Rush: 50% discount for 3rd child in Louisiana Rush.

• Tuition pays for training; it does not pay for the right to compete or to be a member of any particular team or competition level. Louisiana Rush athletes earn the right to compete through their hard work.

In addition to the monthly tuition, Louisiana Rush has created an expense billing program for ALL the additional expenses that are associated with competitive cheerleading. The cost for ESTIMATED competition fees, camp/music/choreography fees, spirit gifts, uniform, practice wear, make-up kit, and bow have been added together so that payments may be broken out into 8 installments. The expense billing payment for all teams is due and payable on the 15th of each month beginning with May 15, 2017, with the final payment being due on December 15, 2017.

However, we will allow you to invest in your expense billing program to bring your payment down on the 15th. If you choose this option you can put down any amount of money that will bring the total cost of your overall expenses down. We will then divide the remaining amount by 8, and that will be your monthly payments due on the 15th.

PLEASE NOTE: tuition, annual expenses, additional expenses and sponsorship money are NOT refundable for any reason (including, but not limited to dropping from the program, removal from the program, injury etc.).

Competition Fees are non-refundable: A lot of effort Is put into competition routines. If your athlete decides to quit, or otherwise miss a competition for any reason, we must find a replacement and prepare them for the competition. As a result, competition fees will not be refunded even if your athlete leaves their team prior to the competition or otherwise does not attend the competition for any reason.

SPIRIT GIFTS: Athletes will receive 2 spirit gifts for competitions. These gifts will be Louisiana Rush designed t-shirts. All athletes will receive the same gift/shirt. UNIFORMS:

Louisiana Rush may utilize several different uniform designs for different teams/levels. Payment for the uniform will now be included in the expense billing program. Please note if your child does not make it to one of the regularly scheduled fittings their uniform may not be in by the first competition. A custom uniform takes 8 to 12 weeks to come in and cannot be ordered until it is sized.

Louisiana Rush will provide two separate fitting dates to purchase new uniforms. Uniforms and warm-

ups are a custom design/order; therefore, parents and athletes should expect an 8-12 week turn time

for delivery.

**Please note that Louisiana Rush reserves the right to buy back any uniform before it’s delivered.

Competition uniforms for all teams/levels are custom designed for Louisiana Rush; however, they are

not custom tailored uniforms. Alterations to ensure a proper fit may be required. Typical alterations

can range from $10.00 - $45.00.

PLEASE NOTE: Your account must be current in order to receive spirit wear, make-up kits, bows, uniforms, practice wear, and spirit gifts. These items will not be handed out if there is a balance on your account. Any funds paid in can/will also be reallocated to first cover tuition then expense billing in the event of an account balance.

COMPETITIONS: We participate in 3-4 regional competitions and 3-4 national competitions. Our regional

competitions may be held in Houston, Shreveport, Lafayette, New Orleans and the surrounding area.

National competitions may be in Dallas, New Orleans, Galveston, San Antonio and as far as Orlando

“depending on bids and team decision”. These will require travel out of town and a one or two-night stay in

a hotel. The competition schedule and fees will be finalized by July 1st. Last minute changes may occur and

competitions can either be added or pulled from the schedule.

PLEASE NOTE: Most national competition schedules include a Friday and / or Monday competition time.

This will require a parent to miss work and the athlete to miss school.

SPECTATOR/PARKING COST: Most competition venues require spectators to pay for admission ranging from

$10.00 to $25.00 per person/per day. Additional parking fees usually apply ranging from $10.00 - $15.00 per

day.

ATHLETE ATTIRE AT COMPETITIONS: Please remind your athlete that while at the competition he/she is

representing Louisiana Rush and they need to respect the Louisiana Rush rules. When arriving at competition

athletes MUST arrive in full competition style hair and make-up. Athletes may wear any of the following

options: FULL uniform, Louisiana Rush t-shirt or sweat suit. If you have won a NCA jacket you may wear it but

no other National jackets are allowed unless it’s from the event we’re competing at. NO random clothes, pj

pants or competition spirit attire will be allowed.

STAY to PLAY/ HOTELS: There may be 1-3 out of town competitions that will require a 1-3 night hotel stay.

La. Rush will reserve a block of hotel rooms for all athletes and families through a housing company. It is

MANDATORY for all athletes to stay within the La. Rush hotel block for all out of town competitions. We will

be required to submit a listing of all our athletes and where they are staying in order to be compliant for those

specific competitions. This is a competition requirement and La. Rush does not receive any financial benefit

from this program. If an athlete is not registered through a required housing company they will NOT be eligible

to compete. All families will have till August 30th to make their housing reservations. Most if not all hotel

properties will fill up months in advance, so please plan accordingly.

Parents will be emailed information regarding the block in order to call and book a reservation. Hotels are

booked individually by all parents via a credit card. Look for an email towards the beginning of the summer

to book your families reservation.

TEAM FORMATIONS:

Athletes will be placed into practice groups according to appropriate age and skill level after troy-outs. At

the coach’s discretion, some athletes will be placed due to the needs of a particular group.

Although teams are 95% complete by this time, parents should EXPECT change and movement in order to

form the most competitive and cohesive teams possible. We must ensure that all athletes can fill the

necessary positions that the team will require. A few years ago, our industry experienced a shift in the

scoring system where judges now place majority weight and focus on mastery within each skill set per level.

The execution in each skill set (stunts, pyramids, tosses, tumbling, jumps, etc.) is reflected in the overall

quality. Timing, precision, proper technique, and cleanliness are the things judges look for to decide the

teams execution score. The judges establish certain elements that get a team in the high range of difficulty.

Typically, the more competitive all-star teams will sit in the high range of difficulty in each skill set. This is

how we form our teams and their skill sets within a routine. However, mastering the execution categories

and maxing out in those ranges is at times more difficult than just physically performing the elements.

With all of this in mind, our goal is to educate parents and athletes on what the judges reward within the

scoring system and how your athlete can be better placed within a level where mastery of the skill set

occurs. The idea of moving up a level at the start of a new season is not ideal for true mastery to

progressing, to reach mastery of all the skill sets required. Our sport is based on a consistent and constant

progression, the more mastery an athlete accomplishes at their current level, the more prepared they are to

mentally and physically “level up” in the future.

Our goal with each team is to “max out” the score sheet. Within the year, a teams’ competition skill level

may change. As with the movement of any athlete, there are occasions in which Louisiana Rush must

reassess skill levels and/or competition levels of any given team. Louisiana Rush reserves a right to change a

teams’ competition level and will make this decision as needed throughout the competition year. Changes to

an athlete or competition teams’ level may result in changes to team membership and practice schedules

and may be temporary or permanent. We ask parents and athletes to understand that if and when we move

an athlete/team, we are doing so in the best interest of the athlete and the teams involved.

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS WHEN THIS OCCURS.
