![Page 5: LOUISIANA PARENTING EDUCATION NETWORK SUMMIT](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051215/5681469a550346895db3b2cc/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
There are a number of nationally recognized models and curriculums being used in Louisiana, but there may be issues of fidelity.
A large number of programs may have too few contact hours/intensity to impact the high risk families they are trying to serve.
![Page 6: LOUISIANA PARENTING EDUCATION NETWORK SUMMIT](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051215/5681469a550346895db3b2cc/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Few programs reported that either the program or the educators were accredited, certified or credentialed in any way.
A large number of programs (41%) reported no specific training requirements for their parent educators, and a large number (45%) reported no specific annual training requirement for their educators.
![Page 7: LOUISIANA PARENTING EDUCATION NETWORK SUMMIT](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051215/5681469a550346895db3b2cc/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
There is no statewide organization to support parent educators in Louisiana.
State funding for these programs spans four different state departments, but there is no coordinating body for parenting education.
![Page 8: LOUISIANA PARENTING EDUCATION NETWORK SUMMIT](https://reader034.fdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051215/5681469a550346895db3b2cc/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
