The Chapman DeMary Trail is in a 10-acre area protected through a conservation easement. The path runs along the South Fork Catoctin Creek. Hail to the Trail is the annual Purcellville Green Expo hosted by the Town’s Tree and Environment Sustainability Committee. It is free and open to the public, and is great for families, students, and scouts. Local organizations participate to share information about nature and to lead hands-on activities about the environment. This year, the event will be Sunday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. with guided nature walks, tree plantings, the Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration, live animals, live music, a study of creek creatures, nature art projects and games, displays, and more.

Why are some venues and events separated? Events separated from the main list may charge an entry fee or have special hours of operation outside of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Loudoun is also home to 10 farmers markets, many of which are open Farm Tour weekend. There are so many wonderful farms to tour, and we want to help you get the most out of this weekend. Below are some sample itineraries. Feel free to mix and match, switch the order, or customize to suit your interests or time frame.

Horses and More Tour: Meet some special four-legged Loudouners! 5 Hillsboro Country Inn is a 100-acre farm with horses, sheep,

donkeys, tiny homes and fishing ponds. 9 Equus to Educate will be

conducting non-riding equine assisted learning activities with our horses as the teachers.

17 Hogback Mountain Pony Rides, LLC will

have pony rides! 18 American Academy of Equestrian Sciences is a

full-service indoor equestrian facility and will have work stations set up, including horse care, grooming, tack, horse training, and Camp Koda-related activities.

25 Equine Rescue League Foundation will have

demonstrations, pet-a-pony, adoptable horses and more.

Hands On Tour: Get moving with some activities! 11 Fort Bacon

Farm has a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and shop the farm stand.

13 Three Bags Wool Farm will have a passport/country of origin

activity. Take a hayride at 16 Wegmeyer Farms. There are lots of activities at

The Chapman DeMary Trail is in a 10-acre area protected through a conservation easement. The path runs along the South Fork Catoctin Creek. Hail to the Trail is the annual Purcellville Green Expo hosted by the Town’s Tree and Environment Sustainability Committee. It is free and open to the public, and is great for families, students, and scouts. Local organizations participate to share information about nature and to lead hands-on activities about the environment. This year, the event will be Sunday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. with guided nature walks, tree plantings, the Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration, live animals, live music, a study of creek creatures, nature art projects and games, displays, and more.

The Chapman DeMary Trail is in a 10-acre area protected through a conservation easement. The path runs along the South Fork Catoctin Creek. Hail to the Trail is the annual Purcellville Green Expo hosted by the Town’s Tree and Environment Sustainability Committee. It is free and open to the public, and is great for families, students, and scouts. Local organizations participate to share information about nature and to lead hands-on activities about the environment. This year, the event will be Sunday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. with guided nature walks, tree plantings, the Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration, live animals, live music, a study of creek creatures, nature art projects and games, displays, and more.

The Chapman DeMary Trail is in a 10-acre area protected through a conservation easement. The path runs along the South Fork Catoctin Creek. Hail to the Trail is the annual Purcellville Green Expo hosted by the Town’s Tree and Environment Sustainability Committee. It is free and open to the public, and is great for families, students, and scouts. Local organizations participate to share information about nature and to lead hands-on activities about the environment. This year, the event will be Sunday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. with guided nature walks, tree plantings, the Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration, live animals, live music, a study of creek creatures, nature art projects and games, displays, and more.

How much does it cost? The Loudoun Fall Farm Tour is free to participate in and you don’t need tickets! There are fees at some sites for food, drinks and special activities. Check the icons on each location for more information.

Why are some venues and events separated? Events separated from the main list may charge an entry fee or have special hours of operation outside of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Loudoun is also home to 10 farmers markets, many of which are open Farm Tour weekend. There are so many wonderful farms to tour, and we want to help you get the most out of this weekend. Below are some sample itineraries. Feel free to mix and match, switch the order, or customize to suit your interests or time frame.

Horses and More Tour: Meet some special four-legged Loudouners! 5 Hillsboro Country Inn is a 100-acre farm with horses, sheep,

donkeys, tiny homes and fishing ponds. 9 Equus to Educate will be

conducting non-riding equine assisted learning activities with our horses as the teachers.

17 Hogback Mountain Pony Rides, LLC will

have pony rides! 18 American Academy of Equestrian Sciences is a

full-service indoor equestrian facility and will have work stations set up, including horse care, grooming, tack, horse training, and Camp Koda-related activities.
