152 MMbbl Geological Summary Block 60 is located in Santiago Basin. This basin is considered as a tectonic basin of 200 km length and 100 km wide located in the northern extreme of the Peruvian subandean faulted and thrusted belt. This basin was once part of the great Maraon Basin until they were separated during the Andean tectonics of Late Tertiary. At the west border of the basin are located the Manseriche Mountains and to the east the Campanquiz Mountains, striking from N-S parallel to the Andes which separate it from Maraon Basin. The north limit is the Cordillera del Condor located in the Ecuadorean border and the south limit is the Huancabamba Deflection.
