Welcome to “Lost and Found Sunday”! Just in case being in church makes us proudly consider ourselves especially religious,
today’s Gospel sug-gests that we’d be wiser to admit that we’re sometimes lost. Then we’ll eventually be happily counted among Je-sus’ “found,” be-cause today Jesus focuses on a lost sheep, lost coin, lost son. Jesus does so because the Phari-sees and scribes, proudly considering themselves especial-ly religious, “began to complain” that

Keeping our Children Safe
Beginning this week, all of the exterior doors of the church will be locked during the 8 AM School Mass on Tuesdays. If you are planning to attend daily Mass on Tuesdays, please be on time. One or two teachers will be stationed in the vesti-bule during the first 15 minutes after Mass begins. If you are late, please go to the left side doors (by the restrooms) and knock; you will be admitted at the discre-tion of the teacher who comes to the door. This safety measure is an unfortunate con-sequence of the times in which we are living. Security for our children must be our highest priority.

Is there a neighbor or friend of yours who is in temporary need because of a loss of a job or an illness? Please leave a message for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul…we want to help!

The Lay Ministry Program is a program that provides a general introduction to the Catholic faith. The program offers opportunities for the spiritual development of each person. At the same time, it provides the knowledge and skills for various pastoral ministries.
This Level I Formation program strives to answer questions that Catholics frequently have. It covers a wide range of areas of specialization such as: Spiritual For-mation, Writing, Fundamentals of Theology, Liturgy and Sac-raments, Christian Morality and Methodology.

The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola begin with twenty-two “Annotations,” introductory notes that set forth some basic presuppositions and guidelines intended to help people engaged in doing the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. These Annotations are not only essential for retreatants and retreat directors; they can also be helpful for all people in living our daily lives, deepening our relationship with God, and improving our interactions with others. The Annotations are the focus of this year’s retreat led by Fr. Felix Just, S.J. The retreat format will include a combination of large-group presentations, time for individual prayer and reflection, com-munal liturgies, and some opportunities for some small-group faith sharing (optional) and/or for brief individual conferences with Fr. Just.
