Paid Opportunities Google Political Advertising Intern

No place is closer to the nexus of politics, technology, and advertising than Google’s political team, which works directly with campaigns and their digital consultants to help them raise funds, persuade, and mobilize supporters through online advertising. Focusing on Search, Display, YouTube, and Mobile advertising, we are at the cutting-edge of bringing the tools used by the savviest corporate advertisers to political campaigns on both sides of the aisle – as well as issue advocacy groups and Super PACs.

Calling this a just another internship would be like calling Google just another tech company. Google Political Advertising Interns will work a full time, paid internship from June - November 2014, alongside the Google political advertising team in Washington, DC. Campaigns’ use of online advertising is growing exponentially – and our team needs support to continue providing the best possible solutions to our clients.

We will train the Interns on the skills necessary to become fully-functioning members of our team. When the campaign season reaches its peak this fall, we want you at Google applying the skills you’ve learned all summer. This program is designed to be one of the most intense experiences in Washington, because we work the same hours as the campaigns, but also one of the most rewarding. We give the Interns the responsibility to design online advertising strategies and implement the tactics that will mean the difference between victory and defeat for many candidates.

Minimum qualifications - Students must be planning to graduate between December 2014 and June 2015 from a

Bachelors program, with any major, at a US University. - Will have completed their 3rd year of study and be able to begin the internship on

June 23, 2014. - Commitment to working full time throughout the summer and fall semester in

Google’s Washington, DC office. - Experience working on political campaigns at the state or national level
