Agenda Video Art Exhibition Loop Festival: Señas de identidad d Chile celebrates two hundred years of independence. Barcelona, May 17, 2010. Next Wednesday, 19 2010, IED Barcelona hosts the video exhibition Loop Festival. In September this year, Chile will celebrate two hundred years of Independence from Spain. In the course of two centuries, followed by a dictatorship, Chileans have built a nation and are in the process of reaffirming their identity. Who are they? What identifies them beyond their borders? Some intimate, honest answers can be found in video art produced over the last decade, biographical works that suggest a portrait that is a hybrid as their identity. An excellent opportunity to share film and historical experiences with the artists Edgar Endress, Yael Rosemblut, Tiziana Panizza, Valentina Serrati, Enrique Ramírez and Marcela Moraga. Tiziana Panizza (Chile, 1972)Remitente, una carta visual, 2008, 18’Sinopsis: Segunda pieza de una trilogía de ensayos cinematográficos filmados en 8 mm, sobre los recuerdos y el olvido en laautorrepresentación de los inmigrantes europeos en Chile

Valentina Serrati, (Paraguay, 1978)Celeste, 2005, 15’ Sinopsis: Explora un estado mental alienado provocado por el aislamientofísico y emocional de los inmigrantes indígenas en las grandes urbes de suspropios países. Extranjera en la propia tierra.

Enrique Ramírez (Chile, 979)Paisaje, 2007, 24’Sinopsis: Es un vídeo sobre lugares y sus habitantes, en este caso, sobreinmigrantes de países socialistas residentes en Chile. Los paisajes ayudana definir la identidad de quienes hablan.

Marcela Moraga, (Chile, 1975)Como un Selknam, 2005, 2’08’’Sinopsis: Un Selknam, (indígenas que habitaron el extremo sur de Chile)aparece escuchando ruidos de selva en la radio, todo es artificial, elindígena, el sonido, el paisaje.
