GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE SENIOR REGENT’S
MESSAGE
Due to a few recent problems, I feel it necessary to repeat the rules regarding guests. Number one is PLEASE when you bring someone in, stop by the sign in book in the hall and sign them in. A pen not being available at the sign in area is not an excuse, as they can be signed in the Social Quarters if necessary. Remember even if you sign them in as your guest, they are guests and cannot purchase anything. By signing a person in, you are taking responsibility for their actions and conduct. They must leave when you do, I hope this clears up some misunderstandings. Till next time, Gary
Administrators Report
Hello,
I hope you all had a good New Year’s
Party and I hope all enjoyed the party at the
lodge and also the food and the music. I want
to say to the people in the kitchen for that night,
a really big THANK YOU for all the work!
I hope everyone had a good time at the
visit from our Supreme Governor, Rodney
Hammond and what an honor for our lodge for
him to visit us. Thank you to who attended the
event. Thank you all who helped in the kitchen
and making the event a complete success. So
let’s make the rest of the year as good as it
started.
Now for my Super moose this month.
Well this person has done a lot around here
and is one person who is a Super Moose inside
and out. My pick is Harry Goldberg Jr. aka
Skip. Skip has done a lot here and I can not
say enough about what he does for the lodge.
So to you Skip, THANK YOU!!
Frank Sturgeon
Hello February, So far the WOTM have donated 452 stuffed animals and Tommy Moose’s to lo-cal emergency services, but we’re not done yet, we still have departments in Yuba County that we haven’t given toys to. We are still taking donations for this endeavor. I want to thank all the members who have donated to this cause already. Our mem-bers are the greatest. We are now taking letters of intent for 2020-2021 WOTM Board Members. If you are interested in being Senior Regent, Junior Regent, Secretary Treasurer or Recorder, get your letter in ASAP. This month’s Special Moosette is Leona Spenger. You will see Leona working in the kitchen every taco Tuesday’s. She also helps at any function that she is asked to help with. What a great volunteer! Thank you Leona, for all your help. Get your tickets for the Valentines Dinner Dance it’s always a fun time. “Together, we’ll make a difference”.

Adopt-A-Highway
We will meet on the first Sunday of each month. We will depart from the Moose Lodge at 7:30am for our section of the highway clean-up. Remember ankle high boots, long pants and appropriate upper body wear is required. The hard hats, orange vests, pickers, gloves, eye wear and trash bags are furnished by Cal Trans. We are in need of more members to help us clean-up the highway. Please consider helping once a month. Both men and women are welcomed to join us. The Lodge will treat us to a buffet breakfast when we return. So come on out and help in the community service. Hope to see you there. If you have questions or would like to help call Jim Hedge at (530) 671-6531. -Jim Hedge Adopt-A-Highway Chairman
LOOM News Officer elections for the 2020-2021 Moose year are going to begin soon. If you are interested in becoming an Officer in our Lodge, please fill out the election form that is hang-ing on the bulletin board. The form must be completely filled out with the officer position that you would like to fill. The form must be signed and turned in to the LOOM Of-fice before February 17
th. If you fill out the form, the next
step is to attend the Officer Nomination Committee Meet-ing on February 17
th, or February 24
th at 6:00 p.m. If you
have any questions on the positions that are open, please feel free to contact me and I’ll answer all of your ques-tions. We are looking forward to seeing you soon. February is the Moose Rocker Fundraiser. For the entire month, we would like everyone to donate any money de-nomination you wish and the money goes directly to the seniors at Moosehaven to pay for their medical expenses. Some of the money also goes to the kids at Mooseheart. You will be asked to write your name on a Rocker Fund paper and it will be displayed in the Social Quarters for the entire month of February. We raised over $600.00 in October when we did the Cradle Fund that primarily helped the Kids at Mooseheart. Thanks for your kindness in donating. Bob Criss Moose Charities

Meet a Moose Member
This month we would like you to meet Leyon Davey. He joined our lodge most
recently in 2016. He is a retired painter and lent the lodge his help and expertise during
the lodge beatification. Leyon enjoys classic cars and owns 64 Chevy El Camino. He is
also an active member of Gold Country Street Rods. You will often see Leyon
enjoying a meal with his friends and his wife Sue. What Leyon enjoys most about the
lodge is the people. He says the people are friendly and easy to talk to.
