RWRA MAINTENANCE WORKER Regional Water Resource Agency (RWRA), the municipal wastewater utility located in Owensboro, KY, is accepting applications for the positions of Maintenance Worker. This position will complete a variety of manual tasks, as well as equipment operation, operating semi-tractor trailer and dump trucks, installing pipe, or any general labor involved with sanitary, storm, and wastewater treatment plant sewer installation, repair, and system inspection/cleaning. Essential Job Duties: • Repairing, installing, inspecting, and cleaning sanitary, storm, combined, and plant process sewer piping systems. • Operating construction heavy equipment/tools and sewer cleaning equipment, as well as semi-tractor trailer. • General wastewater treatment plant maintenance, as well as preventative maintenance on equipment and tools. • Working mainly in an outdoor environment, in frequently high noise levels, being in a standing, crouched, kneeling, or crawling position on a frequent basis, and lifting up to 100 lbs in any given day. • Performing confined space entries on a routine basis, such as in the piping of the sewer system, manholes, and trenches. • Executing traffic control Job Preferences and Requirements: • Prior work experience in the construction and repair of pipelines is preferred • Being at least 18 years of age • High school diploma or GED • A valid driver’s license (current CDL Class A is a plus) is required prior to employment Job Schedule: • Full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position openings, as well as establish an Eligibility List for possible future openings. • Work hours are typically 7:00am-3:30pm, M-F • May work evenings and weekends, as needed • Required to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis as scheduled; 30 minute response time to report to work while on-call.
